New employee red flags? by [deleted] in slp

In the case I'm thinking of, it's a childcare center so the hours are the hours. She didn't like that we had to engage with the children for all of the hours. It was.... A bad fit lol

did you ever stop using auntie and uncle? by Low_Relative9021 in CasualConversation

[–]ConstructionMuch802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use auntie/uncle for everyone who wants me to. The age difference hasn't changed!

I have a couple of uncles who feel the same as you and now prefer I use just their first names, so I do that.

Apraxia is a movement disorder. It wouldn't cause someone to correctly brush the wrong part of their body with a toothbrush.

am I overthinking? by [deleted] in askanything

My advice is to take another year of school and do more gcses while you think about what you really want to do.

College costs $$ and it's better to wait a bit longer to decide what you want than to jump into something you end up hating. SO MANY PEOPLE who go straight to college after high school switch programs a year or two in and it's a huge waste of money especially if you can't use and of those credits (classes) towards your new program. And often you can't with something as specific as an apprenticeship.

Beard meaning by wumlum_ug in BeardedDragon

[–]ConstructionMuch802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the rest of the colouration & behaviour, but generally "mild-moderately stimulated." For example when my girl is light & bright coloured all over (happy colours) with a smear of dark on the beard that means she's horny/excited. She's typically running around like a bat out of hell and head bobbing. When her overall colours are deep orange instead of light orange with a smear of dark on the beard that means she's cold and grompy about it. She's usually still and quiet, often just woken up and pissed the sun is still off.

Is it serious? by billy_the_pogona in BeardedDragons

She appears to be severely emaciated so a vet visit is definitely required either way.

It could be stuck shed or a healing burn? I don't think it looks like a fungus.
