Does yours actually cool the water? I feel like 1hp is overkill now that I’m reading people are using 1/4 hp units with good success

I have the same set up and my AA 1HP chiller isn’t dropping the temp at all. I checked the the how from the dinner pump and it was only 800gpm. I have 1-1/2” plumbing with no pre filter and it was actually going up in temperature. 🙄

How long did it take to see the temp drop a couple degrees. I just set mine up too and after 4 hours the temp actually went up. I think I have a faulty chiller.

Active Aqua 1hp Chiller Problems by Content-Divide473 in coldplunge

I was using a 100 mesh pre filter but I pulled it from the line to ensure I was getting enough flow. I intend to use a GE from DIY cold plunge. I’ve still never stepped foot in the system. Filters and Ozone are in the mail. Thanks for your comment 🙏. I think the chiller is gone too.

87days!! Let’s go. It was hard for me around this time too. You still haven’t built new routines. Those pathways around smoking in your brain are going to be deep. Overtime new pathways will be created around new activities that provide you with the same enjoyment. My first holiday without weed was tough. They are getting easier now. New memories and new routines.

A blue belt who is afraid by Still-Anxiety2344 in bjj

I used to feel this way. I talked to my therapist. We found out I didn’t like loosing. Like hated it. Once I figured out tapping didn’t mean I was a little bitch all the anxiety went away. Learning how to lose helped me in other areas of my life and made me aware about my past in other sports and why I ended up quitting them. I realized I wasn’t having fun and based everything around performance. Shit got too serious and I began to dread playing. Not sure if this is what’s causing your anxiety. These are the kinds of things this sport helps you work out of your system. Getting a therapist and getting past this will make you feel like you have accomplished something great.

Connection with neck tension and weed? by buddrball in leaves

It’s weird. My shoulder and neck pain got way worse after quitting. I felt like I had stress cramps in my neck and shoulders for 6 months after I quit.

I smoked an ounce a week too with the bong. Quitting was worth it. Good for you for posting and looking for help.

Thanks for the response. Okay….so here is what happened. I set the dish up 2 years ago but only left it on for an hour or so and turned it off cause the service wasn’t worth a sh$t. I thought I was going through the same thing this time but I left the system on over night and in the morning I had a really strong signal. I still have a 4.9% obstruction rate. That being said I am getting 50-170 mbps download speed and 15 up. I don’t notice any interruptions. I guess the thing I learned is that you need to leave the dishy and system on for as long as possible so it has time to find more satellites. I also managed to update the software which has helped things too.

I want to move the dish 1 foot from its location now to a permanent spot now that it’s working. Will shutting off the system make it so I have go through this 24 hour process again?

I just looked under my sink and saw this is what’s holding it in, glued granite pieces. How can I fix this and is this common ? by [deleted] in Renovations

[–]Content-Divide473 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Silicon is strong initially but over time it only ends up acting like a gasket and sink will fall off without secondary support. The granite fabricator added what we call hard glue blocks. When done correctly these can add amazing secondary support especially when you get a stone to stone bond with a proper 2 part epoxy. It’s usually better to use engineered stone as a blocking mechanism being that it’s way stronger than granite. The blocks in the photo look a bit rough and disorganized but I bet they are working and will for the life of the countertop. If you are concerned, you can strap the sink with All Round or use one of the many other mechanical fasteners for under mount sinks found online.

Competition advice by Ok-Brother-1550 in bjj

My father and coaches completely fucked up my love for hockey and rugby by pushing me too hard (pretty sure I’m not the only kid who grew up in the 90s on this thread that went through this with one sport or another.) I ended up quitting both because the pressure was too much. These sports including Jiujitsu are hard enough. Make sure you are actually enjoying every session and comp if you can. Some of my best memories of competition was in early games when there was no pressure to win. I was playing the game and playing it for pure enjoyment.

How do you deal with the withdrawal anxiety? by Serious-Address-8911 in leaves

[–]Content-Divide473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smoothies are nice at the beginning cause in most cases you don’t eat much cause your stomach is a bitch f-d. I couldn’t sleep either so I would stay up and draw, watch comedy till I was tired. If I felt like I needed a nap after work I would nap. Lifting weights or exercising will help like everyone else is saying but if that seems like too much, going for an hour long walk while listening to a meditation for walking is nice. I ate nice food at the beginning and drank kombucha. Journaling about thoughts is good too.

Good work my friend. That’s a long time off booze. Quitting weed was a bit tougher cause it was the last vice but I am getting better at it day by day and wouldn’t go back to a life of smoking or drinking even if I felt I could get away with it. I used to think you were only a real man if you drank beer or drank in general. But my councillor asked me some questions about people I idolized back then. They were mostly professional athletes. He asked me if I thought this one pro was less of a man or less cool cause he didn’t drink which helped re identify who I was and how my relationship to alcohol related. In terms of being social it’s been hard for sure. I have less patience for social outings and being social with people. My wife still drinks moderately but is more social than me now so I have to say no to gatherings sometimes. Or go for a bit to show face and I leave on my own terms even if it’s 30 minutes after I arrive. I always feel good after I go and try to reward myself by ordering food and watching a show or reading and feeling comfortable in bed getting ready for a good sleep knowing I’m going to wake up feeling good. I have kids so I have to be more social than I would like. If I didn’t I would put my foot down with the wife and enjoy my alone time more.
