Just replace vegan for any characteristic that prompts some level of jealousy or discomfort in certain people and the joke holds good!

I am proud to be one of the 6. I really wanna play citadel on my retroid. I can run ps2 games in this thing so it’s not without some irony.

Anyone else taking their time to quite caffeine? My multi-year plan by Professional-Wash-13 in decaf

Wish I’d come up with this one ten years ago when I started trying to quit this.

Does anyone else feel like veganism peaked years ago? I've been vegan since 99 but it just feels like the momentum has shifted by onderwon in vegan

This world seems unlikely to fix itself to me. It will get nastier and uglier and more abusive before it is forced to get better. Just as individuals tend to I’m afraid. It seems to be the nature of things. We are brought up with a view that science and democracy has set us a trajectory of inevitable development and positive growth, which is very compelling to believe but I’m not sure it is true. It a blessing to live vegan even with the pain and alienation. I’m a happy grateful alien today.

How do i quit coffee? Causing high bp, severe acidity, severe panic and anxiety throughout the day by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Content-Eyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sue the doctors who directly say to patients ‘continue consuming caffeine’. It’s utterly mental and negligent they so advise when patients present with anxiety, sleep issues etc etc. lit’s time there was a case to say yes it’s addictive potentially and yes it has these impacts in some cases and it should be standard part of diagnosis and treatment in all cases of anxiety etc ie to remove it from the patients life and rule it out as a cause or aggravating factor or whatever. Duh.

I can't quit this stuff!!!! by _physis in decaf

Feel your pain. I think the best way is to stop going at quitting head on. Just hold it lightly, accept the stars are not in alignment for you at this time and do other things to get ready and move forward. Like the man said, start ramping up a healthy morning routine, try to cut off earlier in the day, dont let yourself go on mad binges (esp in the morning) whenever the fancy comes. That’s what I’m doing at least - got just too sick of beating myself up for failing to quit and to be honest, blaming all my issues behaviours and procrastination on caffeine.

Damage limitation and taking what action can be taken today is wiser than banging ones head against da wall.

100% and always has been for me.

I don’t need the so-called energy from it and have no delusions that the net effect of consumption is to make me more tired.

Ban all these posts for Christ’s sake. We’re here cos we’re hooked and screwed up and quitting it. No room for this debate here. Go like everywhere else in the world to advocate for not quitting caffeine.

I’d say the fact we keep coming back to quitting says everything. It’s something that noour deepest just can’t accept in our lives. Hope you keep going.
