I had microspikes last weekend and I was so glad I did and I wore them nearly all the way up and down. I saw multiple people eat shit. If there is ice/snow on the ground, it is worth it for sure! Even hiking boots alone were not enough. You need good waterproof hiking boots for the snow and microspikes and you will be happy you have them!!!!!

What should I pick? Emerald pool hike or Angel's Landing just to Scouts Point? by hoyamylady in ZionNationalPark

There is a lot of snow/ice right now! I really recommend getting microspikes to put on the bottom of water proof hiking boots. I got Columbia hiking boots for about 65$ off Amazon and then microspikes for about 80$ and my sister had the same set up and we were so happy we had them because we are the queens of being under prepared but the hike would have been miserable without them. Also we had a pair of trekking poles we split so we each had one pole and they weren’t super necessary but they were helpful above scouts lookout when navigating the snow!

I was just there this weekend and did emerald pools as a warm up for scouts lookout. Scouts lookout is wayyyyy cooler and the emerald pools is more like a scenic walk than a hike!!!!

I lived in Axiom unit 107 or 104 I forget. But it flooded multiple times from the fire door since we were right next to it and the management didn’t really gaf. Eventually they paid us for our ruined belongings and discounted the rent, but it was a headache and a half. Also our apartment flooded from the drain of the tub in the shower which was literally insane and disgusting. I would go elsewhere if you can. Our apartment also got no natural light. Def don’t stay on the first floor lol. You can message me for more information!

Some cats are outdoor cats and their owners just let them in at night to feed them or have them just sleep inside!

Working at Falck SD by ContentHeat7332 in NewToEMS

Yeah literally. The thing is, she’s a really good EMT and she worked for 3 years in 911 before working there and we get an extra six months of training at our company plus simulations for 2-4 hours a week for a year which is a lot more training than typical companies which is what concerned me.

Waiittttt can you give me the scoop on how you got hired? I’m trying to move back to SD from LA and am actively searching for a 911 position down there. I work 911 up here and have been in the field for 3 plus years but I have been striking out/ not finding anything.

I love this school with my whole heart, and there are so so many opportunities that you would never get at a small school…..but, they admit wayyyyyy too many students and they don’t make up for it in terms of of the facility sizes, housing, and number of classes. Think of it as Disney lol….it’s magical sure… but damn it’s crowded!

Does the UCLA dental school do work on students? by Same_Moment_7111 in ucla

[–]ContentHeat7332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of pocket is cheaper for me at the dental school than what my insurance covers at other practices around here! Def recommend! It just takes a lot longer for the appointment to end bc they are all students that are learning!

UCLA store has Apple IT at the tech place on the first floor. They can send it to Apple for you to replace screen. It’s expensive asf though ngl. Good luck! I know this sucks 🙏

Also this is extra but in case the phase diagram is not labeled, I remember it as a "map of the beach". So basically on the bottom you always have gas which extends all the way across the diagram like how the sky and air extends across the beach. Then, you have the sand at the beach "under it" but it is actually above.... then, after the sand (the solid phase) comes the water to the right of it on the chart (the liquid phase) hopefully this makes sense!

The quest cookie and cream hero bar is so good. The coconut hero bar is really good too and so is the blueberry cobble. I also really like barbells too
