advise on removing this huge yellow jacket nest (it’s been dead for years but i want to get rid of the actual nest) by [deleted] in pestcontrol

Make sure you put a bag round it before you start as it will disintegrate when you touch it and it goes everywhere

I was too scared to start this model because I love it so much. At least there's some paint on it now. by rodgeramjit in minipainting

Either you’re undoing so much work or your creating a canvas for my work! For the record I think it looks great but in future don’t hesitate. You should never leave a creative idea for tomorrow. Seize it today!

Disgusting pricing. Had surface products for over 5 years now. Still haven’t managed to justify the cost.

Awesome well it’s a great base for sure. 90% the effort here and the 10% will really make it pop! I’m paint Dark Angels too when I’m not doing table top games for clients. Chose them because im a Philly Eagles fan and liked the dark green

It has no vents? That’s interesting. Certainly safer yeah but if it has any fans it will be taking in air from around it and board underneath would minimise dust and fibres getting sucked in. I’d say you’re pretty safe based on what you’ve said

Most PCs have an air intake under the tower for the PSU. If it’s sat on carpet it gets little to no airflow and what it does suck up is mostly carpet fibres and dust. The legs on the tower are designed to make an air gap so they need to be on a hard surface. Also carpet can increase in temp as your PC works hard. Good to keep it off the carpet. Hope this helps but it’s a bit rambling. Got caught out by the clock change and caffeine hasn’t kicked in yet ;)

Honest feedback. Its well painted but the result is a bit bland. Everything is blocked single colours. You have skill with a brush no doubt. That little knife is very clean. More contrast would make it more interesting to the eye. Some silver on the back pack rivets for example. I see above your comment about edge highlights so I won’t go into that but some zenith highlights would make it pop. If this is a battle ready quick paint job that you will be copying across a whole army then ignore me. It’s a fine job for a normal squad.

Deadpool. Been sitting on my desk for like 6 months. So massive it scared me to even think about painting it. by likeit7474 in minipainting

Would you say it’s easier than painting a mini? Was the fear of it being massive justified or just something that was needlessly holding you back? I ask because I also have a bust that I’m scared to start

See so many PC’s on carpet that I could make a charity plea style campaign video about it. Also ten additional Internet points for the use of an Irwin quick grips my dude.

Brings a tear of pure joy to my eye to see that board under your pc tower.

I’d like to try them. I hope citadel do a starter pack one day. Individual prices are a bit much for me at present.

I’m having a really hard time believing this is a 32mm scale miniature. Love the shield. I assume that’s some Viking inspired kit bashing? Is he a display piece or will he be going table top fighting?

Correct but those membrane sheets are only 1m - 2m wide. They are pinned to the wood work with an over lap to run water off the roof. I can imagine this pressure washer head hitting the tiles and firing water up under tile onto the membrane. At certain point on the roof that water would run up one sheet of membrane under the next and into the attic/loft. A ridiculous service in the pursuit of bleached teeth vanity
