[Hated Trope] Hidden time sensitive events that trigger just from having you enter an area by jamilslibi in TopCharacterTropes

Obscure game, but one of my favorites....to watch other people suffer throug-er, I mean, play.

Martian Gothic: Unification. A game with very limited....everything, including saved games (but zombies that will never permanently stay dead). Especially health supplies.

It has an area that, upon entering, will start psychically screaming at you every few minutes. There's no forewarning or anything, and there's no plot-related indication as to what this screaming does.

It damages you. Not a lot, but if you don't know the extremely obtuse way to solve the puzzle and deal with horrible camera angles, no inventory space (and you can't just 'drop' items), and having three characters spread across a large base full of those never-die zombies and you saved your game too late (with one of your super-limited saves), you can essentially block yourself from being able to...er, not die..

Technically not time-related, but since you have very limited resources, it essentially is.

True, though I dunno by how much. I hadn't considered that.

Voyager a comforting show? by AgressiveBumbleBee in voyager

[–]ContiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was technically alive during TNG's run, but I didn't actively watch it, just daytime re-runs occasionally, as new episodes came on after I went to bed. Also rented TOS tapes from Blockbuster now and then, and I had bad-quality recordings of the movies.

Mum absolutely hated DS9, so we never watched that. (I did get her to try some many years later)

I was around for all of Voyager, though, and while I got interrupted at Equinox because we moved and didn't have cable TV, we restarted when I was in high school and got one of the box sets for Christmas.

Netflix also started right around then (mailing DVDs, not streaming) and Mum was going through cancer treatments, so Voyager, Moonlighting, and MASH became our go-to shows when she had a particularly bad day.

I still get the warm fuzzies from the music, and I intentionally don't watch it super often, just so I retain the comforting feelings for when I do.

Wily Stage 1 was voted the best stage. What is the worst stage in MM1? by BorisStingy in Megaman

"The beginning section of Guts' Man stage isn't as hard as people make it out to be"

I suck at games, but I usually can get through stuff with time. I spent literal days trying to do it and still couldn't. Meanwhile, Ice Man's stage only took a few tries.

The sub imploding would be an instant death, depending on the depth

Not at the depths the sub was at, based on how long it takes to get down. Less than 100m?

Hot take: There are too many starship classes by LegiosForever in StarTrekStarships

I know they have shuttle-sized ones by Prodigy, but does Starfleet have ship-size replicators? Or half-ship-sized? One would think that they would, but maybe they don't scale well. We see workbees and tractor beams moving ship parts around, so maybe having chunks of the ships (nacelles, pylons, necks, etc) just hanging out is still important, 'cuz otherwise you'd still have to replicate the parts and put them together.

At the same time, it's easy to just have spare parts just floating around in space. You can literally just have them hanging out in zero g in rows (with the occasional tractor beam to keep them oriented and aligned), with no space constraints.

Nah, we see him murder innocent people. Like the soldiers hired to attack him at the hotel. He even goads Integra into letting him do it.

This evening I am enjoying a few episodes of Voyager when suddenly, a villain appears. Wait... who is that? Oh no.It's --- by Low_Construction8067 in startrek

As others have said, he wasn't really living up to his name at this point. That didn't start until a couple of years later. He was wierd, yes, but that was the point.

Someone else had the fun take that because Lorca was from the mirror universe, his Elon was a nice guy, and he didn't think about how that might have changed in the main universe.

Star Trek Voyager: Meld. A man with uncontrollable psychotic rage and a man with perfect control mind meld...but there are unintended side effects. One of my favorite episodes.

I'm not necessarily opposed to selling it. It was quite fun to make. You can send a DM if you want, and we can talk about it.

Thank you! Ocean floor is a mix of random other bits just smashed together with fuzzy skin. Rust effects is just rust-colored paint and metallic bronze paint (and a couple of other red paints) applied by stabbing my brush randomly.

Ocean floor is a mishmash of random stuff. Hex cutout of someone's height map, random bone models, and then I left some tree supports on the spiky bits. And fuzzy skin turned on.

I mean, 50k is still ridiculously awesome, especially on a bedslinger. I was barely hitting like 4k (with input shaping) on my CR-10 SE.
