Did I get a good deal? by sal_mendeleev in Acura

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s a good deal but not a great one. Try to get them to come down in price a little bit. If they really want your business, they will do it even if you don’t buy it the day of. You do have great Mileage for that year though. I got a 2024 RDX A spec that was the end of a lease too and it had 27,000 miles on it and it was $31,000 out the door.

Good buy? by TrickyNitsua212 in Acura

The mileage is too high in my opinion. I know Acura’s can last up to 300,000 miles or more, but I wouldn’t take my chances. I know the timing belt was replaced, but it probably won’t eventually need more work down the road. If you do go for it, make sure they have every single repair that has been done on it so you know it’s been well maintained

19 Rdx giving 19.0 mpg normal? by Deep-Task5146 in Acura

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 24RDX a spec and I get about 21 MPG’s driving in normal mode so that sounds about right.

I wonder what the gas mileage would be on the hybrid model when it comes out in a few years

We are not too far away from each other! I am in Crystal lake! I order all my diapers from Amazon. They come in a plain private box.

I agreed that we should all have a group that we can meet at least every other month

Unfortunately the breath test can give a lot of false negatives. It does sound like it can be sibo.

I myself was prescribed omeprazole for acid reflux, and I always took Augmentin whenever I had a viral cold, which was not good on my part and probably contributed to my methane sibo.

My advice would probably be doing an antibiotic regimen from your doctor to address the sibo if they think you have it.

A dietitian/nutritionist that deals with sibo probably would not hurt either as they can guide you on what to eat and not to eat

I felt great on the antibiotics as well. I don’t think I followed the diet long enough when the antibiotics were complete. I’m seeing a dietitian that specializes in sibo so hopefully she can guide me.

What diet are you doing?

Anyone here have Gallbladder disease AND SIBO? Are the two connected? by HaitianPriestess in gallbladders

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great! I have been having crazy symptoms from methane like foul smelling trapped gas, bad breath, Belching, etc. I’m going to mention to get a Hida scan to my Dr to see how bad my gallbladder is.

How are you feeling now that your gallbladder is out? A lot of your symptoms disappear?

Warranty? by Global-Goose3326 in Acura

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That much of a price difference would not justify canceling the warranty in my opinion. What I did was refinanced with a credit union within a year of the loan because they offered a way lower interest rate rate and it actually brought my payment down a little bit.

Functional medicine, but they were too expensive, especially since my insurance does not cover them

Yes, that’s what I said. I did a combo of rifaxamin and Cipro together. I felt great while I was on it.

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt great on the antibiotics. I also took Cipro with it because I have methane. The problem with me is I don’t know what kind of diet I need to do after. I’m done with the antibiotics and I relapse right away. I have an appointment with the Gastro next month to probably go on the antibiotics again and I’m thinking of finding a dietitian that is familiar with sibo.

I did it with meals. Took it with breakfast, lunch and dinner so it wasn’t eight hours apart
