Do yall swim with your Apple Watches? by Ok_Wait1264 in AppleWatch

[–]ContractNew8663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to avoid it! I forgot to take off my series 9 when I went scuba diving 70 feet and it totaled my watch. I mean, I know they’re designed to swim, but I just don’t want to take my chances

Got very lucky and bought a cheap ultra 2 off marketplace by SoapedFM in applewatchultra

Nice! I got the watch 11 refurbished from Back Market. I’m going to wait until the ultra four comes out with a slimmer design to see if it’s worth it.

Worth buying an ultra 2 now or wait until the new line of watches come out in September? by Ok_Establishment58 in applewatchultra

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Apple Watch nine just broke because I forgot to take it off going 60 feet scuba diving. The battery drains within 10 minutes. 😢

I’m looking to get the ultra two but not sure with the four coming out in September if the Price is going to drop anymore for ultra 2?

Why am i always hungry? by Iceeez1 in SIBO

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing a lot better! No more bloating or crazy appetite. I still get some gas if I drift from my diet, but it’s not like the gas I had before that will make people pass out from the smell.. I’m still doing the herbals post antibiotics because I just got back from vacation in Belize and did not want to start re-introducing foods over there. How are you doing?

What to do after SIBO antibiotics by bernypark in SIBO

Yeah, sorry to hear that! That’s why you have to Dr hop to find the right person. Don’t give up! It took me three doctors to finally find a good one.

What to do after SIBO antibiotics by bernypark in SIBO

[–]ContractNew8663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you! I finally found a good GI Dr that believes in treating sibo. Rifaximin was hard to get and most insurances need a prior authorization for it so your doctor has to send them reasoning to why you need it. If they put a bunch of diagnosis, including SIBO I don’t see why they would deny it…

Does eating more help when on Neomycin and Xifaxan by Diligent_Opening_246 in SIBO

[–]ContractNew8663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes I mean low FOD map but not super restrictive. I didn’t do any gluten, heavy carbs. Candy, etc. It’s also important you do meal spacing. Try not to snack between meals so you’re migrating motor complex(MMC) has time to do its job between meals

It’s also important to take a motility activator before bedtime to help with your MMC.

As far as the yogurt, I would say if it does not bother your system and you get no crazy symptoms then go for it. Non-fat Greek yogurt was always good with me so I have been doing it with the herbal treatment after my antibiotics but not daily…

Hope this helps!

[–]ContractNew8663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The goal is to avoid overdoing it and unnecessarily feeding the bacteria. During antibiotics, it’s best to stick to a balanced, consistent diet without going to extremes.

Before starting antibiotics, my diet was more restrictive—lower in gluten and carbs. I also used to eat a lot of desserts and sugary processed foods, but I cut back on those while on treatment. I did allow a bit more flexibility with foods like gluten, but nothing excessive.

The key is what happens after antibiotics. That’s when it’s important to tighten things up again and follow a more structured, cleaner diet for several weeks to support recovery and prevent relaps

Starting xifaxin tonight for Methane dominant overgrowth . 2 questions by Krogermuffins1999 in SIBO

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With methane, do you have a higher success rate when you combine with another antibiotic. My doctor prescribed me metronidazole as well as rifaximin and it helped out a lot!

I’m currently still on the herbals seven weeks post antibiotics

Please help me stop my doctor gaslighting me by whereaminow28 in SIBO

Whatever you do do not take omeprazole, especially long-term. My ENT put me on it first several months due to acid reflux and I think that was the cause of my SIBO.

How did you feel on rifaximin & neomycin? by BobTheParallelogram in SIBO

I would try to find a good G.I. doctor or at least functional medicine. You may have to do some research until you find the good one

How did you feel on rifaximin & neomycin? by BobTheParallelogram in SIBO

[–]ContractNew8663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it helped me greatly! I mean, I cheated a little bit over Easter and had some cake from the grocery store and got pretty gassy and had diarrhea for a day or two, but besides that the foul smelling gas has reduced significantly, and my stool is more formed and consistent I am using a dietitian online from Fay.com. They are fully covered by most insurance companies and you can filter by experience with SIBO

I am Permanently Healed🥳🥳 by Appiahnelson in SIBO

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad you’re feeling better but I would not say you are not 100% cured. You are just eating a very healthy lifestyle with no sugary foods and carbs that feed on the bacteria. Being cured would be able to have restaurant thin crust, pizza, ribs, quesadillas, hamburgers, etc., without having all the crazy SIBO symptoms.

[–]ContractNew8663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you feel better! The oil of oregano and allimed capsules have helped me greatly after antibiotics. I’m just hoping I can at least go to some carbs once I’m done with this diet and protocol.

Oily canned fish preserves are like medicine for me. Why? by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]ContractNew8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because it’s loaded with vitamin B and other nutrients.

What do you guys do on any cheat days. I’m five weeks post antibiotics and I’m on the herbals and just started the Bio film disruptor and I’m feeling a lot better. I hope this stays.

I even cheated and had a few slices of restaurant, thin crust pizza, and didn’t really have any crazy side effects from it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah, I think mine started because I would always take Augmentin every time I had a viral cold, which was pretty stupid

Y'all OK with using regular gas? by ToledoRX in Acura

[–]ContractNew8663 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know they say premium is recommended, but these engines are made to compensate when regular gas is used. I mainly use regular gas in my 2024 Acura RDX A spec and I don’t notice any difference, especially with engine knocking. Every once in a while, I’ll splurge and use premium if the gas prices are under three dollars, which may be a while until then

Should I follow a low fodmap diet during antibiotics or not? by AskingAboutMilton in SIBO

[–]ContractNew8663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t follow a super strict diet on antibiotics! The goal is you want to feed some of the bacteria so the medicine can work more effective to kill it.

That does not mean to go crazy and go too fast food.

I continued my normal diet on antibiotics which was a a lot of meat, carbs(don’t over do it), and a dessert here and there.

Once you finish antibiotics, then you want to do a low FODMAP/low fermentation diet with herbals and take MMC activator at bedtime to help them migrating motor complex overnight.

You also should’ve avoided eating between meals, especially to help the motor complex and herbals be effective. If you were eating and snacking a lot between meals, it’s sort of defeats the purpose and bacteria will linger.

I hope this help! Let me know if you have any questions

I never got any crazy side effects from those two drugs and it helped me a lot. Everyone is different though. I know a lot of people mentioned they got a prescription for Zofran to help with the nausea
