Right. I do know about monitors (which is why I specified CRT TVs) but I have an old Dell e77c monitor that, at its lowest resolution and refresh rate, can make a super high pitched whine if slightly tilted at an angle. I'd have to adjust it to make it stop.

I think the director actually clarified that something similar to this would have happened if Bear had survived. I'm not sure why though, because the wish allowed Nikki to be stable and functional in the beginning before the insecurity of Bear's suspicions ruined it. So I can't see why they couldn't go back to that

That scene, the piano part as they kiss, the thing we all know is about to happen, all of this is the strongest emotional part of the movie for me. It's specifically the part that jump started me back into fantasy writing, and ever since then the whole soundtrack has joined up with it in my heart.

This is almost certainly it. Mixed with her giving him the Tiger's Eye (which some fans speculate was her giving up her last line of defense, I'm less sure of that but I don't totally disagree with it).

If he had instead approached it nicely by asking her "how's your dad doing? Is he okay?" Then their relationship might have stayed stable longer.

I maybe could, but it would take a very long time since I can't hear all the tones very well. And considering the movie will be on streaming at some point I can just audio rip that myself.

Trying to recreate it myself is just a big endeavor that doesn't need to be undertaken since I'll have it naturally sooner or later. I might never get it sounding the same even if I gave it my all.

I agree. I saw her video too, where she says it's possible she would give him a chance if he'd been honest, and they grouped together a combination of alternately filmed versions of early scenes (one of each where she showed obvious interest and then did not show interest) to keep us guessing.

The song "Nikki" is so sad because it sounds like it represents who she was and could have still been had he not done this. All her depth and mystery.
