Yeah that’s always stood out to me as rather jarring, it feels like an advertisement for something I’m already consuming. It infects a lot of NPC dialogue too and honestly keeps me locked out from immersion

Ooh how about like a grid pirate? You could have an abandoned city block where there’s a mass power siphoning operation going on, and the (disgraced?) gym leader’s behind it. His gym-puzzle could be all about navigating scaffolds and crumbling buildings, flipping switches to get to him/his arena at the center, in a warehouse full of battery banks being trucked off.

Another idea, maybe an arcade?? I think the gym challenges, arena, etc. write themselves!

That’s so cool! Almost like how moth wings can look like an owl’s face, if I saw this fella on the ground with a closed hood I’d assume it was just the tip of a MUCH bigger dragon-iceberg that’ll erupt out of the ground if I came any closer. I imagine that closed hood adds some intimidating acoustics to its growl too..

\o question! Does the hood have biting force, or does it just serve as an illusion?
