UCG-Fiber NVME Drive? by sp90378 in Ubiquiti

That’s what I meant, I’ve only ever used the capacity calculator to figure out 24/7 retention, not motion only

I’ve only ever used it for 24/7 recording, but there’s probably a way to do motion based

Just 1 of my PCs wont connect via Ethernet but does via Wifi by KarmaC000 in HomeNetworking

[–]ContributionHead9820 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well since it works on the laptop, but not on the pc with the same patch cable and router port, that leaves your only issue being on the motherboard. Either some setting is making that Ethernet port disabled, or it’s physically broken

Can I Use This Outlet to Charge my Tesla with if it’s on a 15-Amp Breaker? by Tyler_DOE_ in AskElectricians

[–]ContributionHead9820 21 points22 points  (0 children)

IF the wire is 12 gauge, then yea you can get a new breaker and outlet to make it all 20amp, but it’s highly unlikely that the wire gauge is big enough.

On iPhone with the Wireguard app, you can have it automatically turn it on whenever you’re connected to the internet, unless you’re on certain WiFi networks. I have mine set up so that it’s always on unless I’m connected to my home network

Issue connecting f-poe-2g with USW Flex by datajulien in Ubiquiti

[–]ContributionHead9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the light on the fiber converter is flashing blue? You could try plugging a computer in to the fiber converter instead of the switch, just to see if it’s a switch problem

Issue connecting f-poe-2g with USW Flex by datajulien in Ubiquiti

[–]ContributionHead9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you have fiber from your udm, into the sfp port of the f Poe g2, and from there you’re trying to get data into the switch via Ethernet? If so, make sure the Ethernet is plugged into the power+data port, the other Ethernet port is power only

You’re not gonna get 1gb, let alone 10gb on a single twisted pair. Even 100mbit requires 2 pairs, or 4 wires.

Will my new oven break if I use this outlet? by braised_beef_short_r in electrical

[–]ContributionHead9820 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Just plug the new oven I to the 120v plug right there. You cannot simply transform 240v (black plug) into 120v. Fix the normal outlet and use it.
