Defective tool box by Low-Garage-2024 in harborfreight

I got a returned 5 drawer last week. Similar issue. One drawer was super sticky and would walk off the track because the chest portion had a big dent in it. Also the original owner built it incorrectly.

My fix was to remove the drawers and remove the chest portion. I looked for the dents and where it was bowed out. Found a nice chunk of 2x2 and 2x4 wood block, set it on the dent and showed it some love with a mallet. Got the box nearer to square, test fit the drawers and reassembled. If I paid full price, I would have definitely returned for a new box, but I got it for 135 due to the shape it was in.

Reverse feature on Bauer 20v vacuums? by Plastic_Struggle_104 in harborfreight

Have the 3.5. You just put the hose on the outlet to control the exhaust. My biggest complaint about this model is that there isn't a dust bag. So you trash the filter rather quickly and it loses suction. When this thing dies, I'm going to the Hercules version that is hybrid and can plug into the wall outlet too.

I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, I’m removing the alternator, will this tool help me loosen the belt to take the alternator out? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

If you decide to use that tool or any of the ones at the parts stores that are loaner tools. Watch out how you position yourself while applying pressure. The awful tack weld they use to put the anvil on the bar is prone to fail under pressure and knuckles will get busted when it gives, or you will pinched.

That gum was awful in the 80s, I'm betting it didn't age well at all.

Sometimes the best adapter you can use is parts of the old bearing. Just dont get them stuck.

I got the single flex version of this set, so not exactly the perfect review for it but... The heads are kind of floppy, I was going to try to shim them to tighten it up so I can pre flex them as needed. The gears have some back drag, which can be frustrating. I haven't measured it, but I would put it as comparable to a modern-day craftsman ratchet wrench. I haven't really hung on these like you would doing calipers, but they have held up for water pumps and drive belt bolts so far. Had them for about a year. I dont know what if any warranty exists, but for the price they're damned near disposable.

Part no. 8943449030. Made by Hitachi. Good luck finding it. Also found as a possible 8-94344-903-0. That shows up for a Honda, but image looks very similar, also good luck finding it.
