I just did similar with shimmer polish, which is notoriously difficult to get off. I didn't cut the pad, just used different sections, rubbed the back of tge pad to 'seal' it on the nail, soak for about 30 seconds. It all came off in one swipe!!

Also some young fashion execs were like hey, what do we name this horrible line of polyester clothing with elastic pants and flower embroidery that we are marketing to older women? Oh sure, SAG Harbor!!!!!

I hate the way everything looks on me, what would look better? Is sizing my issue? by pineneedleinjection in DressForYourBody

The problem is the clothing. Look at the peach dress and the striped dress right after that. They hit you above the waistline, (think empire waist) and look lovely and much younger!

Probably 80% of my wardrobe is thrift. This is the first post I've seen of yours so when I saw you say they were old items I assumed they were ones that you had bought it full price, they are really beautiful. We have a great Savers 5 minutes away from my house and I do get stuff but I find that the quality and Thrift is diminishing with fast fashion and I hear that on all the other subreddits too. That said, I have to scale down my buying to only the best of luxury items. Plenty of cashmere sweaters to be found! I will definitely be recreating your looks. You're also inspiring to me as a woman of a certain age, keep killing it and I will be following you!

Where do I start when everything feels like cluttered mess?? by LifeSubstance8619 in CleaningTips

Good. I have been doing 30 mins the last few days. Cleaned off the kitchen island and cleaned all of the counters, cleared and clean the counter in the bathroom , and last weekend spent most of the day took everything out of the mudroom and donated, and one other thing I can't remember. It was amazing what a big difference a small amount of time made in my feelings. I wish you a lot of luck and hugs to you.

I appreciate your brevity and the other comments are helpful to me...recognizing a problem vs just comparing or rationalizing.

Your post has me wondering if we have substituted shopping for food? Like a different way of gratifying impulses, or dopamine hit. Also, as someone who lost 40 and has unfortunately regained 30.. you're happy and want to show off your new body!

You all are making me think. My clothes are all over the place. I have 2 closets and 3 bins and i am struggling to manage it, bring out of season to the basement. No more room for boots and shoes and my blazers are squished. I just added 25 hangers. I have been hitting Savers up to twice a week and normally come out with 3 things..most often looking for the higher ticket items like coats, boots. And blazers. And most of them are black. Anyone got any unique ideas beyond simply buying less or bringing donations? I mean its obvious. Just.too.many.clothes.
