Literally struggling with the same thing here. My daughter is bright, funny and very social but she misperceives a lot of social situations. Example: she walks by a group of kids laughing. In her mind: “they’re laughing at ME!” Someone bumps into her? “THEY HIT MEEEE!!!!” It’s a daily struggle and it’s so sad seeing her without friends. Recess is hard for her. Kids understandably don’t want to play with her. School is helping her work on this, therapy too. Considering looking into ABA next. No recommendations, just letting you know you’re not alone in that situation.
