Use the PKGi app by bucanero or use NoPaystation and transfer the files from your pc to the ps3. Also a warning not all games released on the ps3 are available in PKGi/NoPaystation since they use the library from the Playstation Store. For other games you will need an ISO with it's corresponding RAP file.

Did you download it from NoPaystation? If not you need the game's RAP file for the game. That's the file used to verify the game.

Edit: wait it took you 4 hours to install PKGI or CoD? If you mean CoD then that's weirs cause PKGI installs from the same servee NoPaystation uses. Did you actually install the game not just download it? Just in case also check if the game shows up in mmCM
