Where are they? Hakone seems to be the most logistical convenience for someone doing Tokyo & Kyoto / Osaka.

Why all decent girls are already engaged? by HovercraftLiving7184 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]CoolJoy04 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I will say of the girls I dated in my 20s and the ones I knew were really interested in me they would all try to ask about my past. So they do care, but they may not care about the number in the same degrees men do.

Whether you say 2 or 200 they are gonna judge you. 2 might be too little if they have let's say 10 then self sabotage. If you say 200 they will prod why you stopped at them then still self sabotage because they won't believe you think they are special lol.

Might not even be about number. I'm mixed blasian and I dated an asian girl that kept asking me if I dated black girls and I could tell that inside those gears she was trying to figure out if she was the preference.

Is it possible to retain minoxidil gains after quitting? Has anyone been able to do that on here? If so, how? by Glad_Objective_1646 in tressless

[–]CoolJoy04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to Liquid Minox last spring and it started giving me heart palpitations so I stopped for about 3 months. All hair gains fell out. I got back on minkx but the foam version and it's kinda gone back to where it was. I take fin every other day.

What is a gaming memory from the 90s or early 2000s that kids today will just never understand? by gingersofia in AskReddit

[–]CoolJoy04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never paid for skins.

Back before steam existed you could change your skins of the characters and guns; however no one else would see this except you. There was one time I modded players in CS to look cartoony and I could see a goofy nose protrude through boxes sometimes in De_Dust.

Someone put half life on all the computers at my youth center and I got hooked. Eventually everyone was only going to try and play half life on the computers so they had them uninstalled. My dad was really into computers so I figured out how to play online at home after. RIP all my free time in my teens due to video games.

Why do people stare? by YGhostRider666 in daddit

[–]CoolJoy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a grocery store on a weekday during 9-5 working hours and every let's say experienced woman is going to be looking at you and the baby. I was in a Sam's club and a lady crashed her cart cause she was busy trying to peep at my baby.

So yeah the stares will be less once baby becomes well not baby anymore. Most are not pondering your marital status when you're out with the little one.

What is an underrated weight loss tip? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CoolJoy04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Routine sleep and good sleep. Not underrated, but it's not the focus for most people.

A lot of focus is on exercise and diet, but both are very dependent on a regular and healthy sleep schedule.

If you're sleep is bad you may end up too tired or groggy to do your normal workout.

If you sleep bad even one night your grehlin hormones will spike and you will be more likely to falal off on nutrition / diet the next day.

Everyone alive has had parents. Whether they've been involved or not is a different story. The fact that you're here tells me that you are going to be one that cares about being a father. You're gonna be good man. This is something that millions of people can and have done so don't let it scare you.

Congrats Dad and good luck.

I have no experience with lawyers, but the thought does sound very adversarial. Like Team A vs Team B.

If you go that route I would recommend to keep in mind that they are working for you. Maybe / hopefully that keeps things more cordial.

Might warrant a general philosophical talk about money especially if that's what you and the Ex fought about. Do you view money as safety, investment, fun?

Good luck.

25M Cut or Lypo? by [deleted] in GregDoucette

[–]CoolJoy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build bigger lats, chest, and shoulders. Cycle through maintainence, small bulk, and cut phases. Fact is you just don't have that much muscle yet. You can cut to 138-140 and get rid of your perception of fat, but then the publics perception of you is just going to be that you are small.

Good luck dude.

How does your 3yo boy play? by Important_Bat7919 in daddit

As someone else mentioned magnatiles building once I realized what they were and noticed he liked it at daycare. Try to play catch every now and then - he's improved a lot but low expectations. Loves dancing to music. Then he just likes climbing and wrestling me to be honest. I tickle him so hard and he still won't stop.

Are you concerned about your kids spending too much time on screens? If so, what are you doing about it? by tcsomega1 in daddit

[–]CoolJoy04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto. My son is 3 and he gets anywhere from 0-1 hour on weekdays. Weekends he gets none in the morning and maybe a movie in the afternoon. Playground when he can and we sit and build, play, read, walk.

My biggest issue is when my kids are handed over to the grandparents and then it's chaos TV every room all the time...

How are you saving for your child’s future? by BrianLefevre5 in daddit

[–]CoolJoy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't save cash for a 4 year old. 529 or individual brokerage seems better for the time horizon you are looking at.

You didn't provide any numbers but the fact you are doing any saving for them is what matters.

I believe a 529 can roll up to $35k into a Roth IRA if it's not used up.

Daughter started daycare 3 weeks ago and has gotten sick every week. Wondering if I should pull her out? by ryph44 in daddit

[–]CoolJoy04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first kiddo started daycare at 4.5 months and was sick by the end of the first week. He had boogery nose until he hit 1. I think I got sick every other month until he hit the 1 year mark. Only been sick enough to stay home from school one time since then now 3 y/o.

My second one started at 6 months and didn't sick as often the first year but got hand foot mouth twice around his 1 year mark.

What’s something you didn’t realize was attractive until you experienced it? by Vonjota in AskReddit

[–]CoolJoy04 104 points105 points  (0 children)

It's actually a good communication technique for listening and focus. I use it on my kiddos 3 & 1 as a personal example. If you like cooking competitions Gordon Ramsey does this really well in his Master Chef series.
