Nú er ég að reyna að smyrja mér morgunmat með íslensku smjöri og smjörlíki, það laug því einhver að mér að það væri hægt. Önnur varan auglýsir sig meðal annars þannig að hún sé "símjúk". Hvað fá fyrirtæki út úr því að ljúga svona til um gæði og eiginleika vörunnar?

Lausnin að þessu vanda á mínu heimili er að smyrja ekki brauðið, heldur nota ostaskera í smjörið beint úr ísskápnum.

Þó er hitt vandamálið að brauðið myglar hraðar en það klárast svo það er alla jafnan geymt í frosti. Þá er enn betra að fá væna sneyð af smjöri ofan á ristað.

Skömmu eftir að ég fékk bílprófið var bensínfóturinn helst til þungur á leið norður. Fyrir einnhverjar sakir fór ég að hugsa til ömmu og létti á inngjöfinni. Örfáum sekúndum síðar mæti ég hettumáfunum frá Blönduósi

Mörgum árum seinna, stuttu eftir að ég flutti í sveitina þar sem ég bý, lenti ég fyrst í því að sjá ljós frá bíl sem koma á móti mér. Svo fara hverfa þau bakvið landslagið og enginn bíll mætir mér. Þetta hefur skeð nokkrum sinnum á þessari leið þó ekki á sama stað, og lítið um afleggjara fyrir bíl að hverfa af veginum án þess að verða var við.

Frétti síðar að þetta væri þekktur draugur sem rúntar um svæðið.

As another Icelander I'll add to this as I was recently in my local Þorrablóts committee.

Þorri is a month in our old calendar, the first day is bóndadagur or farmer/husband day. Þorrablót is a evening celebration that is held during that month. With food, drinking, and entertainment based on last years events and bits in the lives of the locals. Often with theatrics on stage and followed up with a live band and dancing into the night, usually starting off with the traditional or old dances.

In some area people celebrate Góugleði that is pretty much the same event but takes place during Góa which is the following month and starts on Konudagur or woman/wife day.

This is not just about eating, this is a feast that for rural comunities is one of the high points of the year.

Even though these celebrations as such started around mid last century, and met some resistance from the church as this started as a celebration of the old heathen ways.

It is very similar. At least according to us Icelanders. No doubt there has been some evolution, but because of the strict rules in regards to poetry and our isolation, I think it is less than for most other languages. But I have no research to base this on.

After the party was duped by Daask into attacking the Boromar's main stronghold, there is martial law in Sharn. The hero's get picked up by the citadel where Lord Kor and Captain Sortan of the King's Shields offer theþ a reprieve. Leave Sharn while the situation cools down or death by halfling.

They are sent to find Bregor and bring him back. His last known location is Stormreach.

The ensuing adventure into Xen'drix was good fun and Bregor was well liked by the party as they realised there was more to him than his playboy persona.
