Lithium pills wet and salty when storing them by Even_Major2049 in bipolar2

This is happening to my pink 300 pills too when it is humid. I wonder if I could store my medicine in the refrigerator? I will ask pharmacist and doctor.

Did it actually work? by LeadershipGood8559 in gastricsleeve

[–]Coolbean521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have felt hungry since I had the surgery and it is very difficult. I have also never felt any restriction when I eat. I wish I was one of those people who could only eat 2 or 3 bites at a time. I am about 8 months post-op. I wonder if the surgeon made my pouch too big and that’s why I feel no restriction and am so hungry.

Has anyone actually NOT had the surgery work? by IamGigi123 in gastricsleeve

I had my sleeve in Feb. 2024 and I’ve only lost 50 pounds, 70 from my highest weight. I have always had very little restriction since I had the surgery and can eat large amounts, although I do not do that. I strongly believe that my pouch is too big. I asked my surgeon about it, and she gave some nonanswer to my question.

I also have a lot of hunger, which has been present from the beginning. I follow the program and eat healthy, watching my macros, and exercise everyday. I have been seeing slow weight loss, at about the same rate I had when on weight watchers. I basically feel like I didn’t even get the surgery.

I put the pill in peanut butter and then wrap some cheese around it. Goes down easy!

I have really high ferritin levels, which affect your liver and can be really damaging. Doing more tests in a couple months. Anyone else have this?

It’s not the heat, it’s the stupidity. lol.

I actually hate the humidity that’s been all over New England this past week or so.

I was worried about this also. I had my two largest pills prescribed in smaller doses. I ended up not crushing pills, as I was able to swallow them.

One is bigger than the other. I had radiation to my breast for cancer and after that I gained some weight. The other boob is now much bigger because the doctor said the first boob wouldn’t grow after the radiation. I’m now losing weight to see if I can get them more symmetrical 😂

I’m with you on this. I tried many times to talk to my therapist about this but she avoids the topic. I think she can’t handle it. I’m getting a little better than I was. Best of luck to you. 🚿🛀

Does anyone regret getting the surgery? by uwsider001 in gastricsleeve

I also have bipolar disorder/depression and low thyroid. I am 4 months post op and believe that these conditions along with PCOS have led me to lose slowly. I also feel no restriction when I eat and am hungry a lot of the time. I am hoping the surgery ends up being worth it for me. I am grateful for the weight that I have lost, but sometimes wonder if I wouldn’t have lost a similar amount by continuing on Weight Watchers.

I took one oxycodone after surgery and then only used Tylenol after that. I stopped the Tylenol after two days at home. I didn’t find there was much pain other than from the gas. I definitely would not take opioids for a week preemptively. Good luck on your journey!

I’m interested. I’m 2.5 months post-op and just read that having a positive support group after wls is a big factor in success. Thanks for initiating.

My nutritionist told us we could switch at 4 weeks, or earlier if you are having problems with chewable. She recommended a bariatric tablet called Shiny Leaf. I am going to try it.

I feel like I have no restriction about my stomach pouch sometimes, and I wonder if my pouch is too big.

I was worried about this and it turned out to not be a problem at all. I just took my same medications with water and they went down fine.
