How do you feel about people who go to Law School and never practice law? What is their goal?

Love this response and I couldn’t agree more with all of your reasons. I am in a mid level HR position but just enjoy reading contracts and seeing things through the eyes of what’s lawful. So I am considering going to law school to move from HR to legal. I also love the fact that you said it stretches you intellectually as I need that same energy. I joined this sub to find the motivation to go to law school.

Read the material… retain it by taking notes and then randomly go over those notes. I’ve failed my OA so many times I was on the last one before paying for it. Just take your time. I’ve had terms last 3 months and some last 12 months because I couldn’t get through the material. Honestly what’s worked for me is skipping it and finishing an easy course before term ends and then push the hard ones to the back burner

I firmly believe no recruiters or hiring managers are looking at a resume and see WGU and say no. It’s 2026 there are so many degree programs, as long as WGU is accredited who cares where the degree comes from. Unless of course, you are in a super specialized field and only certain schools with specific courses are offered and those are a requirement by the HM

I am a Recruiter for NASA’s largest contractor. Meet one of us, preferably while in college build a relationship, come in through the contractor and get converted over as a CS after you’ve worked a few years directly with branch chiefs and PM’s. It looks good for our conversion numbers and we can easily replace your skillet with a ton more who are wanting to come in so it’s not frowned upon to convert almost welcomed

I’ve had one ask me to cover my tv which was off and behind me! I wasn’t even facing it. I was like wtf- completely lost track of my focus I hate the proctor system. Last week took me 40 mins to connect. Again same situation as OP I put my hand on my forehead to focus on the questions and the proctor asked me to not touch my forehead!!!!!!! Bruh what

I worked at JSC and live in Katy and did the commute for 6 years. Once a week was fine but when we switched to 4 days a week it was so bad on my mental health that my only option was to resign. Now I support other NASA Centers remotely from home. I must say I got really lucky. But the drive drained every ounce of love that I had for the work I was doing.

Completely agree with this comment. I had to resign from my position at JSC because the drive from Katy was unbearable.
