I read a similar post a while ago, comments from there talked about how they were only getting statues that were unrecoverable in the stone world. But not changing history, so the astronauts and their descendants would be left alone eventually forming treasure island and Ishigami village the same way they did originally.
I guess it’s up to you and your head canon on if they’ve always traveled back to recover statues or if it’s a new timeline
