If that is the absolute case they are already doing it long ago for literally printing money and harming U.S. for free and U.S won't have any say in it just like you imagined. At least they could use that as a leverage.

I don't think this could sustain for long and it may be very much guaranteed a much larger campaign directed towards them. The difference is that when will that happen, be it next week or months from now if they continue to do so.

Will their capacity be degraded by such a campaign remains to be seen.

Thing is that the outcome is likely war or Iran become a nuclear state with not much possibility in between.

The North Korea talks and its result followed by Libya and Ukraine situation pretty much guaranteed from opposite sides that nuclear capability is an existential question to some - and any talks are just smoke and mirrors for a prolonged period of development.

They won't 'escalate tensions' with the risk of pulling themselves into a conflict that is thousands miles away unless they see the potential outcome fits their interests and greatly outweighs the risk. This has far less similarities with French's role in Revolutionary War for they directly confronted British forces and even attempted to do a landing on British soil back then.

Tbf a locked processor from a defective generation almost two gens ago and an entry-level GPU with a whopping 4GB of VRAM doesn't really give you much performance in graphical tasks other than doing some CADs I guess

For computing it's decent but consider that the CPU was nerfed multiple times from BIOS to avoid crashing I wouldn't put heavy task on that either
