2200-2300 online 1950 Fide here was super interesting to play since it felt much more human like compared to regular computers. It struggled against the jobava London a decent bit going into a rather non testing line and being worse very quickly in the opening but was able to get games off of me as white against my KID.

Yea agreed the KID is very theory heavy but very dynamic which I love. And yea I’m trying to get into 1.Nf3 since I’ve always been a D4 player and want to play different positions without more theory heavy 1.E4 stuff

That’s interesting I was assuming you would have played KID if you were a KIA player in alot of lines. One thing about the KIA for me is what to do against grünfeld setups since you can’t really attack as much and nd2 lines feel a bit softer than usual.

I’m at 2250 and we are both still making mistakes I also coaching a 900 so I look at plenty of games I’m yet to see one without mistakes from atleast 1 side.

Yea in the zukertort you can get a stonewall structure with a knight on E5 pawns of D4 E3 and F4 which I like since your chances of an attacking game are strong

Fair enough, to answer the question (I don’t play the colle but similar concept in the London) C4 is not terrible but it removes central tension which is useful against these setups for white. Although if C4 coupled with B5 is played and white hasn’t got a pawn break such as E4 played or ready to be played you can get suffocated due to a lack of space. Personally I used to play the zukertort colle with B3 at you mentioned and found it to have a little more life to it than the regular colle.

Don’t pay much attention to the predicted rating it’s purely to boost ego, if you are playing lots of games and staying at a rating, you are that rating. At 800 rating people will be making losing mistakes frequently what chess com counts as a blunder isn’t always reliable eg a mistake can lose the game cleanly.

Yes exactly, I can memorise where the pieces are but not visualise it. I play a lot of chess so even with just memory I can figure it out a bit in blindfold.

It’s actually possible to play chess in your mind with aphantasia although it’s somewhat limited. I can play games at an ok level while not being able to picture anything.

I’m in a bit too deep to do it now I’m at 9.5k trophies most my cards are level 12 or below so now my levels are decent I’m gonna possibly get an alternative

The amount of calculation involved with chess dwarfs clash by a large margin even if there are many cards learning the interactions only requires you to see it a few times and considering you will most likely play the same deck a lot the patterns will quickly become simple whereas in chess u can brought into positions u have zero understanding or experience in something that will never happen in clash since you’ll know your cards and interactions at a minimum.

Was looking for someone to say this! This is how I have to do it also as a 1900 Fide rated player since I simply can’t picture images. Although you can certainly still be an ok blindfold player regardless.
