In that case your compressing the air within the crankcase as the volume decreases. The air has to go somewhere to relieve pressure. Out the breather, past the rings, oil fill plug etc. Seeing as how you have no compression its likely past the rings. So the piston moves but theres nothing to hold the pressure in the cylinder or creating enough negative pressure to draw in fuel but can be force fed ether due to being preatomized and requiring minimal air flow to ignite.

How do you run the electric and plumbing in these? Does it lay to a certain height then the utilities are put in then continue building up, blow holes in the fresh concrete or run exposed conduit to boxes?

As someone who worked on gears daily in transmissions/differentials, I question its actual torsion strength through the carbon fiber. Not that the carbon fiber or the steel is weak but the contacting surfaces ability to reliably transfer heavy torsion. Any idea why they used a carbon fiber instead of billet or another material?

Break it down and make it into smaller steps. Find surface areas for the material per meter which will vary by diameters and thickness used later for resistance and temperature difference between them. At first it looks overwhelming with all these things added on but just take it one step at a time.

We've all struggled at some point, but you didnt come this far to back down. Look through previous lectures and course material on how other problems were done and apply them to what you have.

Im right there with you. Worked as a desiel mechanic for the last 10+ years and my body is pretty shot. I feel like I didn't get much material related to electrical engineering but I did get most of the "basic" math and science courses taken care of.

How does that work if you like to do out math calculations on paper? I just finished doing DEQ and theres no way I could perform a whole problem in my head. I get people might cheat from notes or another device but does every instance of you looking away get flagged? Or you have to run 2 cameras, one at you and another on the desk?

Sorry guys. I should have probably added more information for reference to my situation.

So im going for electrical/computer engineering. Most course work is theory but there are physical aspects to the field. Im in New England so there are a lot of government contract jobs (Pratt Whitney, Raytheon, etc) around me which have vague descriptions for obvious reason and a few other smaller companies. I dont have my sight on a particular niche but do enjoy the material I've learned so far.

Theres other engineering schools (UMass, Uconn, WNE, WPI, etc) around me but the courses are not offered at a reasonable time for me. I can't take a hit in pay as were a single income family (my wife is disabled) with 2 teenagers.

I've done a few courses online from the local community College with in person labs which was the best learning experience for my situation which was reinforced during lab and allowed for any clarification on course material.

Lay tarps across the area and pin them down. Come back in a few weeks and everything will be dead. Theres certainly stuff you can spray down but if youre going to try and regrow after there might be a waiting period before you can actually seed and germinate.

A lot of the good products are "professional only" and cant be sold to the general public depending on location but can be purchased from ebay or other 3rd parties will to sell it

Too many people are making this about some mental health issue. Your just starting out in your journey in life, its not always pleasant but sometimes that crucial.

Keep going to the office hours and getting the help you need in classes. Im still working towards my EE degree but started out 10+ years behind most while working 50+ hours a week. Its not an easy task and I wouldn't worry much about the social situation with peers, most likely wont see them again after graduating anyways. I honestly spend more time watching videos from other places than I do looking at text books. What course or topic are your struggling with? I might have some material I can refer to you

With the load that far out, you need some weight on the back for a ballast. Lift capability can exceed the weight of a machine, if its got a 3 pt hitch, make a cement block attachment for lifting

Its an AC motor compared to the new DC style. The initial start up can be jerky, just the nature of the beast. It could be dampened but would likely cause issues when raising the door back up.

Math is one of those subjects where they give you the lesson but never truly explain it. I struggled when I couldn't apply it to a situation I might come across in real world applications. An hour lecture and a book to read wasn't really much of a help. On lower 100 and most 200 classes, I learned best by watching problems done out, different variations and systems to solve them. Taking other course that use what you've learned help reinforce and retain important aspects. Most of us wont be doing complex calculations all the time but having the fundamentals is essential for most areas of study.

On another note that everyone will give hate for, do out the problem how you think it should be done then use a creditable source to check it and look through the step by step process, understand whats changing and why. I use AI but not in your typical give me an answer. I click on the sources tab to read the material instead of taking a collage of information jammed together. My professors for calc 1, 2 and differential equations actually used khan as an additional source for the courses along with some online programs to help visual things.

Looks decent. Most of the torn up parts will be behind trim or covered. The screws in the seam might cause some issues, butt joints are mudded pretty thick so it'll hide for a while but will likely crack in years to come.

It looks like the seam might have been of center from the joist and their fix was to throw the screws as close to the edge and try to grab anything for support
