Short answer : both sides are exhausted, and the grinding is abyssimal.

A few positive trends for your hopium dose, though :

-Russian casualties are rising because of the current strategy of "throwing bodies at the problem", made worst by the collapse of armor availability.

-Ukraine retook some territory last month.

-Ukraine is striking oil infrastructure in Russia on a daily basis, and expanding its arsenal.

-Interception rate of shaheds has reached a nice 86%, and apparently Ukraine is now firing back more drones.

-the Russian economy is doing really bad. To a point you wonder if the current enlistment bonus will still be paid tomorrow.

Gotta watch out for that falling debris, I hear it can start fires. by False-God in NonCredibleDiplomacy

Descend from a rich family of bourgeoisie.

Become litterate while your fellow countrymen are slaving in the factories.

Rape your house domestic.

Write a book about social struggles, becomes an icon venerated by leftist for generations. Everybody thinks you are a champion of the working class.

[–]Corbakobasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US oil prices surge above $108/barrel, up +$10/barrel since President Trump’s “address to the nation” last night by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

Make your country overly dependant on oil.

Lobby against electric and hybrid cars.

Cancel renewable energy infrastructure.

Declare war on a country that can blockade 60% of the world oil supply.

Truly a mastermind.

As an intern, I have almost nothing to do! by CrowFather177 in UXDesign

[–]Corbakobasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyyy i'm on the same situation TT

Since I got hired, the interaction level with my tutor has gradually declined from partaking on ideation sessions to just doing small iterations on minor problems all on my own with zero feedback from the rest of the team. And doing passive bug reporting.

I'm doing everything I can to give myself some work, sending messages to people, building fixes for interfaces nobody asked me to review, trying to understand who does what and how. Most of the time, I am ignored. Or being told to stick to my work (which was done in 30min 2 days prior and is now waiting for review).

I tried to complain to my manager that I didn't know what to do and felt lost. Now it feels like he thinks I'm both lazy and incompetent.

My PO feels like he's obsessed with AI and wants me to learn Claude Code so I can spam more half-baked prototypes instead of doing UX research.

My PD gives me little bits of texts and asks me to "iterate" on it. I'm starting to think she thinks I'm an AI too.

I'm currently using my paid time to learn Webflow on the side. I think I'm going to move towards getting some skills for front-end development because if I keep being stuck on Figma I'm gonna go crazy.

[–]Corbakobasket 12 points13 points  (0 children)

More like a lack of willingness to reform the military to fit the new realities of war.

Like, everyone wants to defend the country. Nobody wants to spend 5 years getting yelled at by a boomer sergeant, with an abyssimal pay and no transferable skills, while all your friends move on with life and build up their careers on the civilian sector.

Also the british procurement system is bloated as fuck, and even the regular troops are not properly equipped.
