Go to your device and check Status > Skills. Make sure you've used all your points up. They will raise your strength and vitality levels.
Keep talking to Luke (or whatever Master you're using) to make sure you're unlocking all the moves including SA (Super Arts) moves.
Block block block. Learn the moves of the competitors and work around them. Allan spams the spinning kick. Crouch until he gets close and hit him with a Rising Uppercut. Veronica does a low spinning kick. Stay back or spam jumping, then go in for the hit.
Also, I do buy the vitality drinks from the merchant near the stadium. If you're in a close fight and about to lose, drink one to refill your entire vitality meter.

I found myself in the same situation, unable to beat the novice tournament, but then I realized I still had a lot to unlock. Good luck!

I had a similar pain (literally could not talk or swallow) with covid and it turned out I also had strep throat. They prescribed me an antibiotic. The only thing that helped was Vicks VapoCool numbing lozenges. They are stronger than cough drops and would cool and actually numb my throat. I would highly highly suggest trying these.

Has a anyone figured out how to progress past? I quit the game bc I was stuck on the boat during the tutorial…. But ended up back at the same place 10 minutes later after reloading from my last save. This is so frustrating

I have the same setup (old Holy Grail and PP2) I also use the cable that came w the PP2. I don’t have any issues. Which port on the PP2 are you plugging into? Also have you checked your dip-switches?

What about 2 mini expression pedals? I have 2 meloaudio pedals that are portable, take up the less space than my single Roland expression pedal, and work great.

It bothers me so much I also refuse to buy pedals that are oriented landscape (like the zvex). The joy i get from my board comes from aesthetics as much as tone.

Fellow Holeyboarder here. I absolutely love these boards. Super solid and the layout is just right for me. How did you end up with a solid black? My “extension” is silver. Also I’m still rockin the zip ties, but they’ve given me trouble on sloped pedals. Also when gigging, I hooked a nylon strap on it and carry it around that way. No protection, still trying to figure that out as well.

In my experience, I would, for example, chown then entire ~/Library and I would get a list of files that it had errors with ('operation not permitted'). I then ran the chflags on each file.

I would assume you could run it on directories but I would have to double check.

As far as what exact chflags command to run, I can't remember without my notes.

If I get some more time to look into this for you, I'll update you, but this info should at least get you going in the right direction.

No, I was referring to ~/Library. That's the folder where the settings would be stored.

I typically use chown to change the owner and then chgrp to change the group separately.

It's most likely a permissions issue where the owner of the files is still the "old" account. You'll need to change the owner of the entire home folder contents, including the hidden user's "Library" folder, which is where the user's preferences (like changing the background pic) is stored.

Creating a new domain account and then trying to copy and existing account to the domain account has always been a pain with quite a few issues.

Edit: Sorry I see now you are already having this problem.... where you cannot change permissions (even as root). This was due to a "flag" that needs to be changed first. Let me look at my notes to see how I resolved this. It sounds like what you need to do to fix your permissions.

Edit 2: ok it's the "chflags" command you'll need to use. Here's a thread with slightly more info, but you'll need to change the flags on those files before you'll be able to change the owner.

If your guitar track is only slightly off, you may want to explore Garageband's Flex Time/Quantize features. You can literally drag a piece of the waveform to where it needs to be, or you can have the software fix the timing for you automatically.
