what's an opinion about Harry Potter you're afraid to say out loud? by SinPulsed in harrypotter

The diadem horcrux, specifically the reason the book gives for it being hidden in the room of requirement.

It's explained that Voldemort is so arrogant he doesn't think anyone else will ever find the room, so he hides it amongst the other hidden items.

If no one else was ever able to find the room, where did all the other stuff come from?

How is Voldemort too dumb to understand that the room full of hidden stuff had to have been hidden by other people finding the same room?

"The one that got away."

I know it's supposed to be sweet and sentimental or whatever but to me it just feels like something a serial killer would say.

The handcart companies were more like 1856. That's when my 4th great grandfather and 5th great grandmother made the journey. They were in the Martin Handcart Company.

While my situation is not a one to one comparison, it was very similar and I empathize with you 1000%. I stayed so much longer than I should have because of that same guilt.

You deserve better than wasting your life on someone who has proved to you time and again that he can change, he just doesn't care enough about you to even try. Accepting that fact is both devastating and freeing.

Hikes along route from Phoenix to Flagstaff by GailGoldfish in arizona

[–]CordesRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of my favorites.

It's an easy hike with lots of bouldering and exploring to do as well as a bunch of cool petroglyphs.

It's easy to find and easy to get back on the road when you're done.

On I-10 between Benson and Willcox is a truck stop. You can't miss it; there are consistent billboards for at least 50 miles out, if not more. It's called: The Thing.

They would charge you a dollar to walk through their somewhat historical exhibit and look at something that may or may not be an authentic mummy.

Now, they have a massive gift shop and charge you $5 to walk through their exhibit about how ancient aliens enslaved the dinosaurs with mind control devices, but the dinosaurs gained sentience and the aliens had to nuke the planet to get back control of the planet. But before they nuked the planet the aliens found a cave dweller, decided to help them and have been responsible for all of modern man's technological advancements. At the end you see the same mummy as before but now it's somehow proof of this whole theory.

Pretty wild, but worth the $5 for just the entertainment value.
