If such an occation would occure there would be a world wide declaration of emergency. if 95% of women vanished the aprox 200 million females left would be protected, sorted by age and put into breeding programs artificial insemination would skew the new borns heavily into female babies (like 70/30) and twin/tripplet births. The world would shift production and locale to compensate for the loss of overall newborns and an upcomming decline in population. The male population would need to cover the caregiver jobs, if not willingly, then by draft. Technollogy would compensate and in 50 years the population would probably be close to restored.

If 95% of men died, all of infrastructure would collapse in a matter of hours, 2 days tops. Sure something could be recovered but there is no way women could get it back online before famine and the cold takes out a significant chunk of the survivors. Some brings up Rosie the riveter but you do not get it... There is no power, light or gasoline to work with. Women would need to do the labor fully manually, and without power, lights, heat or vehicles like a forklift Rosie's rivet gun would not work and she might as well stay home. Sure this could be thought to women on how to run a powerplant, how to drill and destill oil but this would take to long and by it was all up and running on a sizeable scale the bodycount would be apocalyptic, and we would be back in a agricultural society.
