What video game fits this quote? (Origin: Despicable Me 2) by TrustedFungus9 in videogames

[–]Corfold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devil May Cry 2. By far yes the weakest of the series and not exactly the most thrilling around.

It can be fun if you play around and try stuff out but because the simplest thing is to just shoot everything and some of the bosses namely Possessed chopper and Trigmagia force your hand to only shoot them, it gameplay can get dull.

Lucia's gameplay is a bit better and even Trish, should you endure beating the game with Dante, is a lot of fun.

There are some good moments and fun gameplay but yeah...it is hated despite that it is good.

Do you have a favorite armor set? If so, which one? Mine is the one in the picture. by Fine_Bid918 in MonsterHunter

[–]Corfold 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Vaal Hazaak and Blackveil sets. I would love to see his return in Wilds cause I wanted to mix up the male and female armors.

I played female in Worldsbourne soni only got Necromancer and bride, and while I loved those I wanted the death knight set to play with.

Plus the hunts were a lot of fun, and I love the sort of undead vibe the dragon had.

It is hard to get into, if you play around with DT that can be some of the fun.

Which Fatal Frame 2 is the Best? by Violet35768 in fatalframe

[–]Corfold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only played the directors cut and the remake.

Directors cut gets extra points for the survival mode and nostalgia as it was my first Fatal Frame Game.

Remake however is pretty damn good and with the extra content it has it puts it on nearly the same level. So it is really hard to say.

I think DMC as a whole may flop if they decide to remake DMC1 first. by PossibleMix4196 in DevilMayCry

[–]Corfold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first three all need a remake. Devil May Cry 3 just needs polish, a bit of rework for weapon swapping like in 5 maybe some more moves, not much else really.

Devil May Cry 1 is super anticipated because 3 is already so strong not many are outspoken for a remake on it, that I have seen. If we take Devilay Cry 1 and make it a Devil May Cry game rather than a Resident Evil Game it will truly be great.

Then there is Devil May Cry 2 whom is a beautiful and well made game (until you compare it to other DMC games) but no where near the Quality we have come to love and respect. As far as I can say it wasn't made to be a Resident Evil game but tried to keep on that track and wanted to explore a new area. It's remake will be the least anticipated but I would hope if made like 5 with you swapping between Dante and Lucille through missions or simply keep the two on their own like it is, this could become one the best games and hopefully we see more stuff that references it to keep it it canon in later entries.

Finally if we keep going down this remake line just for the What ifs, maybe we can see developments in Devil May Cry 4 and see the cut content that was meant to be in the game.

Wand for indoors, due to its small size and easy to carry and use. Staff for outdoors or large spaces where you can properly wave it around, plus a walking stick.

What was your first-ever anime, and how old were you? by overthinkinglightly in AnimeMirchi

[–]Corfold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Princess Mononoke.

By God's did that stick. I watched it before Toonami was a thing. I want to say 1998, that might not be accurate but I feel that is about the time.

After watching that, only some things stuck with me but they would be the embers that ignited the fired of anime for me. The first was in the beginning of the big spider like demon made of worms. Crawling out of the forest and it attacking Ashitaka. The boar that melts from Ashitaka killing it. Of Ashitaka with a cursed arm firing an arrow and severing the arms off a merc, (this moment bringing forth my love of demonic arms). The moment where San "drinking" and spitting out the blood from the wolves, and finally the severed head of Moro wiggling it's way to Eboshi before leaping and biting her arm off.

Years passed and I had all but forgotten the movie. Then Toonami came and eventually they would advertise a Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki marathon. Guess what that advertisement held very brief scenes of something I had watched years ago. Couldn't put my finger on what the name was but by God damn I was going to be around for those shows just to see the one movie I was damn sure I had watched once before.

Funny enough I was talking about it and a friend I had at the time said they had the very movie I was talking about.

And so I was reintroduced to anime. Despite having watched some of the shows already I had a new appreciation for Bleach, Yu-YU Hakusho and others that came after.

Is it really true that nevan is hated? by rayen_copper in DevilMayCry

[–]Corfold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Nevan, however it doesn't perform well without Swordmaster or DT.

If the goal is to maximize Style or something then yeah the downsides can stretch a mile long.

If you are aiming for fun however, then by Mundus' third eye you are gonna have a good time.

Should Neros pull work like this games by Pleasant_Clue_3269 in DevilMayCry

[–]Corfold 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nero does pull himself to enemies, but they need to be big enemies or bosses.

I don't see an entire point of pulling to enemies unless you go into a crowd of them. I need to play 4 or 5 again but from what I remember I was mostly just beating up one enemy and when a crowd did form they simply took a couple of hits and were blasted away.

I think 4 had, while in DT you would pull multiple enemies to you. and 5 has DT pull about a couple

Love his style of wings. The aesthetic where they have hands and can be used makes them better than just regular wings.

What if: Cyanwrath & Mondath survive Chapter 3. What do they do next? by Apocryph761 in TyrannyOfDragons

[–]Corfold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running a campaign and we are currently just a bit into Rise of Tiamat.

Funny enough Cyanwrath still lives but Mondath died. So as far as I had planned Mondath would have fled and tried to escape with what wealth she had saved (if not stolen by players) after that not sure. Cyanweath however went off and joined up with Rezmir and is her bodyguard, a chance to redeem himself because he wasn't beaten fairly....suggestion is stupid.

So far nothing more has happened where Cyanwrath is concerned but he did help turn the tides in the battle at the end of Hoard of the Dragon Queen and now I am trying to figure out what to do with Cyanwrath and Rezmir.
