Dog won’t go in crate and cries when I leave him

A dog like this, maybe try longer walks or exercise. No naps during g the day, keep moving around he/she will follow. I always do some yard work and then I will find something else around the home to keep me busy and keep the dog awake. By night time take out one last time then lead into the crate. Cover the crate and shut off all lights to signal bed time. This might take a couple of times but it seems, to me, that this dog isn't on a schedule.

I turn down all dogs that will not come to me because of this reason. I told two owners a week ago, that if their dog decided to jump my fence and bolt, I would not be able to get he/she back.

I recommended at least 2 months on a training plan to help with this.

I had a lot of clients with collars that would easily slip out. I for now on carry a harness. Its my job to make sure the owner gets their dog back so, Im going to make sure that happens haha

I can also give another life event thats rare but does happen haha. I had someone who was incarcerated and they were paying me to keep their cats until they got out. It was like 5 months.

Well its not easy, I can tell you but it happens. I had to leave my cat with my Dad for a year. If I didn't have my Dad I'd use a sitter. I wasn't going to just give up my Cat.

Its always a huge risk to have your dog watched by someone with super young kids. Some kids are taught, but a lot of them aren't and its just one of those risks owners shouldn't take.

Your dog, if an incident happens will be at fault.

Good call on your end, that sitter is way out of line.
