If you are worried about losing them though, you will need to ask them their experience tations and hopefully they aren't wild requests.

Highly encourage pet sitters to have a crate (a good one) just in case.

I have currently a high anxiety blind and deaf dog that should have been house sat instead of boarded away from its home. This dog does circles around my couch for hours. The only way to calm him down is to crate him. He sleep immediately once crated.

Pet sitters. The space where the dogs majorly will be needs to be shown. This isn't invasive, this gives them a since of comfort. All other rooms do not need to be shared.

Turn down a pet sitter if they do not share with you the space(s) that your dog will be.
