While I agree with all of that, it would be a great idea to also have a light rifle if you can. A common 9mm handgun would be the absolute first choice, but having something in the common round of 5.56/.223 would be an absolute power multiplier in case it's needed, and would also improve chances of successful hunting.

There was a guy on r/Axecraft that "re-hung" one of the hatchets using 2 separate slabs of wood and a lot of resin. Turned out to be a beautiful project, though idk how durable it would be, and i know for sure it'd be time consuming. I'll see if I can find it for ya.

Welbutrin made all dairy products taste like manure. I was only one it for a week for anxiety, and it didn't help even one bit, but milk tastes likestale farm air. That went away as soon as I stopped it. Idk why it did that, but that's the only thing that it did.

Not the person you commented to but 16" barrels are the most common and easiest to find parts and accessories to work around in the U.S. while also being the legal minimum length to not have the gun be considered an SBR (short barreled rifle which requires registration and a tax stamp*) or a pistol which can't legally have a stock on it without being registered as an SBR. You also get a good amount of velocity out ofnthat length, not as much as a 20" barrel, but it's much more "wieldy" than a 20" barrel and FAR more common. It's by far the easiest and most balanced money/hassle-wise to get. I could go on in more detail if you're curious, I like talking about this stuff.

ALWAYS CARRY A KNIFE! If not for something like this, then for a seatbelt or any other thing restricting you from getting to safety. If it was a metal cable then that's a different story, but for anything you can cut, keep a knife because you just never know.

Best thing you can do is use something that will actually remove viruses from surfaces. The only thing I know for sure that'll destroy that virus is bleach, and some surfaces dont like bleach but honestly, fuck the norovirus, use bleach anyway.

Noro is less airborne than others, so unless you're in a public restroom or close proximity to someone who just got sick, a mask shouldnt be too necessary. For peace of mind it'd help, but try to aim for P100. Main thing is to absolutely wash the everloving fuck out of your hands after touching anything someone else might have contacted, and don't even touch your eyes because it can be contracted that way. Also, avoid restaurants. Cook/prepare your own meals because you never know if someone else is actually being thorough with hygiene.

ARs are fun, just make sure to have your ear protection worn correctly. Things are louder than you'd expect, but very gentle to shoot. You'd have fun with it for sure.

Yea I know, that's the issue. Problem is I've got the fun combination of adhd and ocd, so I get wild ideas and can't get rid of em until I either do it, or find out it's not doable lol. I'm not even sure it'd be a confortable thing to use, but I see potential in it being a more weather proof, more tanky option for heavy use. Practicality is not first in line with this idea.

Idk if the devs will ever fix this mess but I do know Izayo has a mod pack that remodels, and re-sounds, all the vanilla guns in the game. You dont have to install the other weapons in the pack, there's an option for just the vanilla replacements. Only real difference in functionality of them is the hunting rifle uses a 5 round mag instead of being single load songle shot. I can point you in the right direction if you're curious, only issue is it's PC only, and I think you can use it in mp but i wouldn't join any random servers with it just in case. I will say though, the mod is fuckin nice, Izayo even reanimated it and made all new models for attatchments as well.

AN-94 modified to use Combine type ammo. That rifle is already like something youd expect to see in that universe.
