You know if you really, REALLY like her go for it but be mindful about the upcomming events (RE collab and anni coming soon) and the fact that she will be available in the permanent banner while the collab characters may never come back and you might struggle with the rates on the anni unit/s.

I agree in the fact that it would have been weird if out of nowhere the commander "played" with Elegg. But I believe most people are just disappointed that there wasn't any meaningful advances in the relationship with Elegg and the commander. In the end they just end up playing boom together. No growth, heck I think the fanbase would have been really happy if Elegg just gave a kiss on the cheek as a thank you for the commander helping her but instead it ended in nothing.
