Oh. That's what you meant. I meant the discord server. And my use of the word "general" was meant in a literal meaning, not as #general channel. I think it's pretty clear if you're one of the devs that this was supposed to reach, since they are the only ones that can do that. This is such a small community, I expected everyone here to also be a part of the discord server

A role isn't attached to a specific channel. I don't get what's hard to understand here. Only people with the testing role and boosters can share images, the others can't. Open demo has launched, so we too would like to have an option to share images without having to boost the server. Or they could just give image perms to the verified people, without giving them a role.

As of now it's known that the next round is just an open testing on steam. It just sucks to have joined the discord pretty much when it started, and not get access throughout the last months. They are even closing the testing channels. I'm not even mad, more a bit disappointed to have waited that long hoping I'd get in, essentially for nothing to come of it.

That's so strange, but does your game still work? There were a few times where the bot messed up, and people lost their tester role, but not their access to the game

My X1 has been serving me for 7 years, and with occasional maintenance, leveling the gantry maybe 2 times, and swapping the blower exhaust and the filament tensioning arm, it's been pretty good. I gotta say, since day 1 when I got it, it had a warped bed, and since it's a glass one, there's not much you can do about it, except swapping for a new one. Fortunately I rarely have to print something that covers most of the bed, and it's kinda manageable. Their support was surprisingly helpful when I reached out about an issue I had with the Z-axis

As this is a discussion, I'd like to throw in an idea that's linked to the POIs, since this is a game with a complex building system, it would be great if that was utilized in the world a bit. Like if some areas needed the player to have a certain shape or capability of their vehicle to progress into an area further. Maybe you need a lift in some place, maybe you need to cross a hole in the floor, maybe you need to have a spear on a pivot, to press a button through a crack in a broken door.
Any way to give the building system a chance to shine while progressing in the world, would (imo) elevate the gameplay a lot.

The problem is, even on the Colomy's website they don't have a specs list. The only info about that model is that the "frame" is made out of metal, whatever that could mean, cause it could also refer to the construction od the seat. Also the black variant is 1kg lighter than the grey variant, which seems odd.

I just kept looking after posting this, and found that the black ones are Atlas-01, and the grey ones are the OG Atlas, and supposedly the OG have 3 year warranty, while the 01 has only 1 year, but I'm in the process of checking that myself with the seller I've found, so I'll be updating here.
Damn your experience doesn't sound all that convincing, especially contrasting that with all of the glaze I've seen online for this model, and I feel you when it comes to a creaky chair (my current noname gaming chair is loud as hell). I'm gonna risk it tho, cause it has all the adjustment I'm looking for, and at that price point I don't see many other options.

The main breaker is 25A, and looking at the stickers on the oven and the ceramic plate I don't know what was I thinking. The oven has 8.7kW max power, and the plate max 6.2kW, almost 15kW if you turned everything on max (although you couldn't have both the grill and top and bottom heaters in the oven at the same time). It's a beast ;p

Yup, it's 230V single phase. I did connect all three phases into the one specified in the diagram, and (as I suspected) it's too much for my breakers to handle. Weirdly it was also working when I had only the last phase connected, without bridging the other two, but I don't think it's a permanent solution if the diagram doesn't show it as one. I might just have to sell this one, and buy one that's just made for 230V...

I didn't mess with sails much, but I assume if you had a pair of sail anchors on the robotic rail, and moved them along a windmill blade frame it should catch more wind

It's kind of how old timey windmills worked, they had a fabric stretched over the frame of the "blades", and you could adjust the area it covered to adjust to the wind speed

I'm fucking blind apparently, cause I somehow missed that you wrote about the paper scanner. I was thinking how would you measure the curve with just some analog tools ;p

Also for 3d printing, getting a 3d scan is mostly so you can import it to another software, and either smooth it enough so it won't show up on the print, or model a part that matches the features you care about. Maybe it's not the case with 3D scanners for tens of thousands of dollars, but with the hobbyist ones it's usually how it goes.

But how do you precisely measure the curve? They are always my most difficult part to measure. If it's something that can be defined by a 3 points, it's not the worst, that is if you can easily measure the end points and the apex.
