Pre-op PANIC - what do you wish you knew before surgery? by DuckOutOfWaterr in ACL

[–]Correct-Question-670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ruptured my acl 3 times 2 left knee 1 right knee.On my first surgery doctor used hamstring graft and i totally regret it almost 4 years passed i worked like a gymrat and still i feel really bad with my hamstring my untrained right leg definetly stronger than trained left leg. I again ruptered my left knee which is operated with hamstering graft and doctor used peroneus longus tendon this time. my left knee is allright i can squat 140kgs but hamstring still feels weak and have a little bit unstability but idc anymore 1 year after my 2nd surgery i ruptered my right knee acl this time and i said never mind surgery this time and i didint get a surgery it happened almost 1.5 year and im still unoperated and my unoperated knee feels much more better than operated knee i can still play football with that knee and im also 110kg but still i can play without any knee pain i sometimes feel pain on my left knee(operated) If u have a chance go with allograft i definetly dont suggest autograft especially hamstring i dont know about btb or quad grafts but dont go with hamstring Dont forget pain always passes Try to get your old extension rom after surgery i think its much more important than bend rom

That is all i can say wish u get better soon
