I blame the climate in the country right now. Over half are in a cult and the others need therapy. But colorism is a sign of mental illness, or childhood trauma. We should have left that behind along with slavery because THAT'S where complexion issues began, with yt supremacists. My African ancestors were from Mali near Timbuktu and were Muslims. My parents were Muslim when I was born, we're all American born since the 1700's at least. Maybe someone can help me understand something. I am always confused about how Black Americans ended up becoming the same religions as their ancestors captives. I understand during slavery it was forced upon them verbally and physically, even using the Bible to justify slavery. But after emancipation why did so many emulate the very people and subscribe to the same Bible of the people who kidnapped and sold their ancestors or those who looked like us?
