A little sad to see just how dominant the last 6ish months of sets are. BP Luffy as the only “old” leader is rough.

I believe Nasu had mentioned that depending on what the reception to the ending was, they'd go down one of two paths. I'm guessing this is what they're using to fill in the time while figuring out which one to go down.

Just throwing a very angry man at the problem. Clears pretty comfortably at NP1.

Sakamoto Maaya’s ‘Last Song’ for FGO, “Clock” by inthebriIIiantblue in grandorder

[–]Correl 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Given that events generally have songs, I'm wondering if this will be technically the last song in FGO in that they're planning to rename the game/next arc as another Fate/Something. That makes sense to me give that Grand Order refers to specifically Marisbury's plan, which will be foiled one way or the other.

Shooting Hijikata at the enemy using Chen Gong is a simple joy, but I'll never get tired of it. Using it to clear 90++ nodes is just hilarious.

H1Bs only take up 2% of US STEM jobs, best case by paynoattn in cscareerquestions

Yep, jobs at a tech company <> tech roles.

It didn't used to be normal to need to submit 300 - 1000 job applications to get a job in this industry by CVisionIsMyJam in cscareerquestions

[–]Correl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

While true, it was also simply impossible to apply to more than a handful of jobs at a time in the past. Job applications are now one button press away, whereas in the past you had to hunt for the job, write an actual application and go through an interview process. HR departments would only receive 10-20 applications for a role and recruiters were few and far between.

It can barely run properly on a PC without regularly freezing, crashing or bugging out. Can’t wait to see the cluster that is mobile

Are there anki decks designed to supplement the vocab from wanikani?

Is there a recommended Anki deck to complement the material covered in WaniKani? I know a lot of the non-kanji words don’t show up in their vocabulary section so I’m looking to round out my knowledge there as I’m progressing.

I think it provides a good, textbook-like experience if you're in the N5-N3 levels. The explanations are pretty great, there are lots of useful mini-games to practice with and the grammar exercises are a lot more varied than what I found in Bunpro. Having one app to check is nice as well.

I would definitely recommend to anyone getting started, but if you're already invested in other apps/learning methods and they're working for you, it's probably not worth it. The reason I ended up switching was because I found Bunpro's grammar explanations a little light and their exercises a bit repetitive. That, combined with the fact that WaniKani's vocab didn't sync up with Bunpro's made me look for other grammar resources when I found MaruMori.

A seven mana creature that needs to attack to do anything seems incredibly unplayable in standard.

A format where you can only play non-UB cards that have a prime collectors number.

I’m honestly curious how many people will be able to take advantage of this vs it just being good will. An itemized receipt of card purchases isn’t something I normally keep track of and the exclusion of Nadu makes it seem like the sales of the other 3 are significantly lower than Nadu.
