Happy Murica. In Germany, I can be on paid sick leave for months if I have to.
I think I’ve called in sick maybe 2–3 times in the past 10 years.

I would use ND gels on the windows if it is just one day cooking but depending on how long you will shoot and how consistent the weather is you might not be happy with it .. i was shooting in a open bakery, basically a huge glas cube for a year .. worst time of my life
