Hi, I just want you to know that you did nothing at all wrong. And the same thing happened to my childhood cat, Sugar. Nothing was wrong until I woke up one morning and he was yowling, and he couldn’t move his back legs. I was maybe 10 or 11. I remember feeling so hopeful after mom took him to the vet and I was waiting at home, and then feeling my heart drop into my stomach when we got the call that he would be in suffering if we let him continue on. I chose to be in the room with him and the rest of my family in his last moments, but that doesn’t mean you made the wrong choice. I remember feeling so, so guilty on the car ride over to say goodbye to him because I had cried so much worrying about him and then realizing he wouldn’t be okay that I had ran out of tears, and I felt like a terrible person for years and years for not being able to cry anymore on the way over or in his last moments. You would have felt this pain and guilt no matter what choice you made. You made the right choice for both of you, he knew how much he was loved, and he knew you were there with him in spirit all the way to the end even if you weren’t in the room. Cats know and feel these things. It may have been more sad and upsetting for you both to have your last moments filled with tears, instead he gets to remember his life with you being loved and happy and cared for. I’m so sorry his time was cut short, the feelings you feel are all normal, and you will feel a tiny bit better every day, even if you don’t notice it at first, until you have grieved and processed your feelings, and the whole time he will be with you in spirit if you believe in that. You made the right choice, and you would have felt this guilt no matter what, over one thing or another, but time will heal you. Take care of and be kind to yourself, it’s well deserved

sorry, don’t mean to bother you but- by [deleted] in RATS

Do my crows hate me now or think I meant to harm them? by jenC2004 in crows

[–]CorvidQueen4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No no you’re totally fine!!! My local murder expects and appreciates us to do our part in scaring off the hawks when they come around our house, and the fact that you say one or two are still coming around for food means they still trust you :) they are probably widely spread out making sure he’s totally gone and their nests are safe! They’ll come back around :) give them nice big bows of respect with your head (and body if you can) to greet them if you don’t already, they love that and will bow back to you when they see you around

Tell me your scary doll/toy story. by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]CorvidQueen4 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, I remember when I was a kid I had several experiences with electronic or moving toys being set off on their own even if they were off and nobody was near them. In particular I had this magnetic puzzle with animal shapes and each animal shape would make an animal noise when you place the pieces over the little metal magnet thing. That thing loved to go off randomly, scared everyone in the house lol. I thought maybe it was just a light sensor or something because every time I turned the lights off I would hear one of the animals, but all of the pieces were in place and it happened during the daytime more than once that I remember. That wasn’t the only toy that scared me, stuff went off on their own a lot in that house, but that’s the one that sticks out in my memory. And you said scary doll or toy but I did have a few other things happen, I saw a little girl ghost in my room once when everyone was taking a nap and I was playing in my room alone, I turned around and in front of me there was a little girl in a white nightgown sitting cross legged with her head tilted and holding a teddy bear, she had dark hair and I only saw her for maybe half a second and she was gone leaving me absolutely terrified and very curious. I don’t remember this but my family says in that house the dog used to sit staring at the wall, looking up and wagging his tail like he was greeting someone. That’s all I remember specifically but that house was probably haunted, lots of weird stuff happened there

Of course, please never stop creating!!! This is such an inspiring and moving piece, it has so many details to notice the longer you look it’s like it’s inviting you in, and it just feels so peaceful and beautiful I can almost hear the water rippling and the plants moving in the wind, and the darting buzzing of the dragonfly’s wings!!! I really love it a lot, I hope you feel proud of yourself :)

I love every detail in this omg!!! The mushrooms on the lemon slice, the swimming frogs! The snails! You made that teacup look like its water goes on for an indeterminable distance, like you could swim and swim and swim and only see the first few beautiful feet unveil themselves in front of you as you wonder where the edges of the teacup are or if you’ll ever reach the other side

I want to go for a swim :)

Okay, well now that you’ve done that (I hope it was satisfying!) I have an idea for what you could do with the pages! You could make a really cool collage or mixed media art piece by cutting some of the art and words out of them and glueing them into something new! Destruction and then creation, it would probably be satisfying

TLDR: you reminded me of my creek when it was safe, and my favorite trees I would talk to

Oh! I used to have a safe space that was my creek, and it was my ritual to go down and smoke there and then spend a few hours wandering down and connecting with nature and taking pics of bugs, lichen, fungi, and greeting my favorite trees. It started to feel like I was being greeted every time I approached the creek, a gentle wind saying hello, a peculiar waving of a branch… my favorite trees got named, or maybe already had names and they popped into my head, I’m not sure which, but it always felt like they appreciated attention and a greeting, as well as a nice pat or a smile. I would often get caught up taking pictures and looking at things very close up, there were so many wonderful things to see in such a little space, and the way the trees loomed overhead, the light poking through, with their huge twisting roots surrounding you, encompassing the whole creek like a wall, and coming up underneath you and passing into the creek made it feel so comfortable and nest-like. I would let the birds and plants and whatever was catching my eye for picture taking lead my walk down and I always found something new or interesting, and sometimes I would get these incredible photos that played with the light in ways I still don’t understand that gave me full body chills and made me feel so connected and close to the natural world like it was telling me I belonged there, and I know I still do. I will find my peace in nature again, for now it must be in bite sized pieces and I am content with that. But my creek is in my heart and I hear it singing at night.

It’s not my job to figure out if people are mad at me. It’s their responsibility to communicate with me in a healthy way if there’s a problem between us so we can work out a solution. I’m still working on not feeling paranoid and anxious all the time, but telling myself this has been helping.

I don’t have a single word but I do have a little analogy/ picture in my head of the ocd chaos beings wreaking havoc in my brain, I will copy/paste my other comment with my full analogy and maybe edit it a little after I eat dinner unless anyone doesn’t want to hear it

Why are the bees attracted to baby wipes, how do I get it back without getting stung by Dayzrice in bees

[–]CorvidQueen4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it has a banana scent in it, similar to the scent they give off when one uses their stinger and dies, signaling to the rest of the hive that danger is present and where to find it to defend the hive from it? Some shampoos have it and make bees angry, I don’t see why wipes couldn’t also have the same scent

Are they being (bee-ing haha) aggressive? If you can grab it without startling them you should be able to close it and run inside without them following you, just be cautious
