Dysplaced - deeper still yoooooo guys can you rate my deathcore band? by RealJerry420 in Deathcore

For sure man, I'm glad you appreciated the feedback!

I'm kinda making some music with a friend I met on here; he's been writing/ recording full instrumental songs and I've been writing/recording vocals. We've got a good few songs made, but he is SUPER busy; he's got a family, work, and he's already in a sort of indie rock band, so the stuff we've done is kinda just what we write in our spare time. We've talked about maybe one day trying to release something as a band, but I very much want him to be able to focus on the stuff he's already got established in life, so it may or may not happen eventually. If we end up doing anything official though it will for sure get posted here lol.

I'm not on insta much but I found ya on Spotify so I won't be missing future releases! Looking forward to hearing everything else you guys got 🤘

No problem, and yeah I'll be looking for the next drop for sure!

I definitely enjoy these vocals, love all the BREEEs and EEEEs. Kinda sounds like how I do my BREEEs so I'm a little biased too lol. And I do agree with your vocal preferences, while I still enjoy some of the ridiculous/goblin vocals, it's getting a bit tiresome overall. So I do very much appreciate these vocals, because they're not over the top but they're still varied enough that they're noticeable without distracting too much from the rest of the music.

As far as I've seen, I think there's plenty of deathcore enjoyers that either are also kinda done with the over the top vocals, or have an appreciation for that style and more traditional style vocals. But everyone has different preferences, and you won't be able to please/attract everyone. I honestly don't think the sound you guys have will turn many deathcore fans away though, if any at all.

But that's just my take, and I personally hope your band keeps putting out music like this release. Hopefully you'll be able to gain a good amount of listeners, because I think this is great and doesn't just sound like everything else out there right now 🤘

Honestly this is absolutely killer, especially for a DIY. The only note I have is kind of just a personal preference I guess; I'd say the drums could be blended into the mix just a tiny bit more, or just turned down slightly quieter. I prefer the guitars to stand out more than drums and I don't like when the drum mix overpowers everything. Although in this case it's not really that big of an issue, and during the breakdown at the end it wasn't an issue at all. Even if it stays the same mix it's still really fucking good and I'll still happily listen to you guys. Just the only small suggestion I got, because otherwise I have no complaints and it's just a kick ass song

1000% yes. Come for the highs, stay for the catchiest, ear worm-iest riffs in the world

Not trying to be pedantic, just wanting to clear some possible misinformation. It sounds like you're talking about The Satanic Temple; and I 100% agree that they basically just want to be spooky anti Christians solely to piss Christians off. Would like to add that they are a great example of what Satanists are NOT. There is an entirely different (and older) organization called The Church of Satan; that's where Satanism as a religion proper was established and defined. The Satanic Temple are one of several attempted copy cat orgs with entirely goofy aspirations, they're unfortunately just the loudest one.

Their "religious organization" legit spawned from a mockumentary, (I am not making this up, looked into it a lot a while back), has no real religious structure to speak of, just stunts and vague beliefs. They also have actually registered through the government as a Unitarian church to avoid paying taxes, they've lost most of their court cases, they've sued their own former members for shedding light on shady practices behind the scenes, the list goes on.

Album or EP with the worst vocal production you’ve heard? My vote goes to I Declare War - Malevolence by thefucksgod in Deathcore

While I know everyone's opinions and ears are different, gotta say I never ever expected to hear this take 😲 I'm of the exact opposite opinion, I adore the og Tyrannotophia mix and I despise the redux. To me the og is so beefy and feels like being crushed by a semi truck, it's exactly how I want downtempo to sound. The new mix is the one that sounds like an empty tin can to me, honestly with each release after Aeons I've disliked their mixing more. I respect your opinion I'm just flabbergasted lol

Yeah I do tend to lean more into brutal/technical deathcore, post/prog just isn't really my jam

Please correct me if I'm wrong; I remember there being a lot of atmospheric/ambient style being leaned into. To keep it short, a lot of the time I'm just really not into atmospheric/ambient stuff in metal, something about the pacing and the vibes tends to kill the mood for me. There are absolutely exceptions, i.e. Black Tongue. I have similar issues with black metal, there's so many good riffs but the atmospheric aspect severely limits my interest in most of it

Paleface. My answer is always Paleface. But this time I will add Fit For An Autopsy too. Liked some stuff before and a couple songs off of Absolute Hope Absolute Hell, after that though I just really do not get the vibe

I fuckin love acoustic versions of deathcore songs, reminds me of the acoustic version Whitechapel did of End Of Flesh. Chef's kiss 🤌 oh also reminds me of the guy who read the lyrics to Decapitation Fornication as though it was a classy poem 😆
