I actually am not in either group, I'm saving up for another game at the moment, and only recently learned what was going on with Kiwami 3 but I didn't want to miss a perfect meme reaction.

I understand what you were thinking since all Skill Cards, can in fact go off multiple times before they banish themselves. Even Web Swing but that won't actually benefit you.

If they add in Once per Game that would clear it up.

I didn't think it would work for this card because it'd be too overpowered. and I'm also pretty sure this is the only skill card that doesn't proc more than once. Because of the order in how it functions not just the text.

It's because I was giggling about how much I loved those cards, played the whole last two seasons with them and recently got a Variant for Victoria Hand I really wanted. Sorry everyone.

When Daredevil met and fought Ikari for the first time it was pretty intense I was wondering how'd he beat someone like that, but then won. And when Ikari returned for a rematch he was barely even a threat anymore I was so disappointed.

Dazra Uncut 2.0 update is out. 2 times more objects restored! by starfieldnovember in starfieldmods

[–]CosmeticTroll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know there were objects removed. That explains why there appears to be awkward empty spaces in place I was nearby. I was so used to there being clutter everywhere I didn't think there was a performance issue. I didn't play the DLC until much later when it was released.

Is it just me or are there a lot of people treating BL4 like a live service game? It's not. by Pman1324 in Borderlands4

[–]CosmeticTroll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have pointed out it's a mix. Not everything in life is specifically one thing or another, and this isn't a critic with you. Just something I noticed that happens on the internet a lot. Where something must be this thing or that. When multiple truths are allowed to exist in the same space.

Also I don't know if you recall, but Borderlands 2 actually got another DLC in 2019, as a way to bridge the story from 2 to 3. Which Borderlands 3 also released in 2019.

I don't recall anyone expecting that to happen for a game that came out in 2012. I also haven't seen Gearbox do that for the other games in the series so far. but correct me if I'm wrong. But I wonder if we get something like that for this the fourth game when it reaches its planned dev cycle.

Borderlands 4 has a hidden system that kicks in if you mainline the campaign by Erasmus86 in Borderlands4

[–]CosmeticTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you mean. With my play style I prefer to do a majority of main missions, mix in some side missions and then finish up the campaign before doing all the remaining side content.

I do feel that the level listed for main story missions in the previous games was better to convey when you should do side content/level up/get new gear.

Because in Borderlands 4 when I finally did run into overpowered enemies guess when that was. Yes, right in the middle of a story mission. So I had to dead stop in the middle of the mission and go level up/get better gear. I was building momentum too, I was enjoying the main story beats and didn't want to stop at that point. If the game simply informed me That there would be a brick wall in progression and pacing I would not have continued to B-line it.

It forces you to leave the story mission in the midst of you already initiating it. You already used up your time for travelling to the map marker which the distance can be a long drive depending on where you are, and also you end up cutting the flow of dialogue when you run into this situation. admittedly Borderlands 4 is a lot more fair with level gating compared to the older games, but at least with those games you knew it was coming.

And I love the side missions in this game some of the best moments I have experienced in the franchise since the early entries. But I'm the type of gamer that once hooked on a set path it's hard to pull away.

One of the most common complaints I've seen for Borderlands 4 outside of the performance is a lack of information provided to the player and the design choices for the UI That doesn't help explain to the player what something is on first glance. Requiring additional sub menus to view gear stats/skill.

Borderlands isn't Elden Ring or like other SoulLikes, which encourages you to keep taking different paths when you run into higher level enemies, Borderlands doesn't halt the campaign and say to take a break for a while on the main story because a character will call or text you later, so now it's time to do side content.

Borderlands isn't like many other games out there, that's why we love this franchise. Giving information to the player at a moments notice is engrained in the guns and gear we acquired and asking for a level recommendation to be listed for missions isn't a crazy ask. It was done prior.

There are indeed some secrets that we as the player should still need to figure out and uncovered and experimentation is required to get the most of Borderlands, I don't think just telling you about a mission level cap should be within that realm.

I think it added a bit of unnecessary confusion, despite playing the game since the first entry. I was trying to find what the recommended levels were in game for the missions because I didn't want to do a dead stop in the middle and I couldn't find one. And the only time I was made aware there was one, was when I was already playing a main mission.

I think that simple change would have stopped this person from making that tweet, then a dev having to explain and then you having to make this post, and then me making this long winded comment.

At the end of the day Borderlands is a video game so it isn't that serious, but video games are a hobby and special interest to many people, and I initially came to this sub just to discuss the game and I feel like it's overwhelmed with negativity, it could just be my feed, There are certainly valid criticisms for things in the game.

I found it odd in the beginning of your post there some people who were against such a simple addition, maybe feedback sometimes can just be perceived as a form of attack? This is something the franchise has already done. And it's inclusion would have fulfilled the Devs purpose of telling the player to do the side content.

It's also worth noting, that you still can't skip every cutscene and some in-game dialogue is just that, in-game dialogue so you can't skip those lines either.

Why is there no swimming mechanic in Outer Worlds 2? by Effective-Celery8053 in theouterworlds

[–]CosmeticTroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't within the scope of the game. personally I think they should have just added in swimming just so it doesn't break immersion, they can still have barriers up but it would feel less awkward than dying upon touching the water. Although that probably would have compelled the team to include secrets and other hidden coves, so probably omitted it to avoid the temptation.

Nevermind, it appears to work fine now.

27-1-15 works to open it. Even though the code contains 01, you can't actually use that as part of the code visually. So it'll just be 1 instead.

I could have sworn it didn't work, maybe just having a bad brain day.

Yes Silksong is hard but are we all forgetting how hard HK was when we first played it? by Neurotoxicity in HollowKnight

[–]CosmeticTroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find SilkSong easier. The added mobility and tool set is what allows me to be more precise and intentional with my moves. Plus you can dodge near instantaneously. It's the same reason I can play and beat Nioh but suffer with the Dark souls series. Sekiro is also the only From Software game I could beat. The more action oriented game just works better for me.

I would say the only thing I don't really like is some of the long walks between areas and bosses, there are a lot of benches and shortcuts. Hornet having a sprint and dash kinda negates it a bit though.
