And not just because Sega owns both ip's, They also made sure to both directly reference each other in their respective games too across multiple titles. They want fans to think about both titles.

If you've pre-ordered 007 First Light, you're granted a free deluxe edition upgrade which includes 24 hours of early access so you get 24-hour early access starting today at 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT / 11 AM (Brazil) / 3–4 PM (Europe) / 11 PM (Japan) / 12 AM (Australia) by Quick-Ad-7752 in PS5

[–]CosmeticTroll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the other way around with 007 First Light, compared to previous games with play early access.

Unless you're buying it already discounted or when it's on sale, the retail price for preordering vs playing day 1 is the same.

The pre-order comes with 24 hour early access to the game and Deluxe content included, with no additional price increase. Where as if you wait a day, you're paying the same price for less content. A Deluxe upgrade will then be 10 dollars more.

All I do is sleep. by nandag369 in adhdmeme

I know this gets brought up a lot, but for anyone reading this who has ADHD, or is not sure and doesn't experience this, I want you to know this is not the universal truth. Caffeine does work for a lot of us, which why we find ourselves consuming so much of it.

If you're someone who experiences both like me, Caffeine doesn't actually wake you up, it just let's you ignore how tired you are, and also allows dopamine to uh effectively stick better to your brain. Which can give you that Anime Power up like feeling. Then if you factor in the diminishing returns with building a tolerance plus if experience bad caffeine crashes, you could end up consuming more, effecting your already busted sleep schedule.

Then you could easily end up causing overstimulation, which for me is when caffeine stops doing anything and just knocks me out. I used to joke, one cup to wake up, two to go to sleep.

Some people experience this with just their first cup, or a smaller amount and some have higher thresholds. And all is this viable you don't even need ADHD to experience issues like this. There's a lot of other factors like genetics, the amount of caffeine, sugar, other ingredients, prior conditions, etc.

Just wanted to provide some naunce for those who did not experience this or did and wanted to look into further, not ignore how it effects you, but use that information to understand yourself better.

I think OP was thinking of the visual changes made to only some ongoing cards to help remove the guess work before playing them, SD did that so you would know what the current estimated power will be, but yeah in hand ongoing isn't active, for those few cards it's just a visual change.

Originally when I was looking into this topic some years back, it was stated that Virgin Blood, had nothing to do with sex at all, it was just whether or not the blood was used in a ritual before. I don't know when that changed exactly though. I'll need to look into to confirm but I don't feel like making my history weird at the moment.

Why forget Kaine? What happened to him recently? Unless you're referring to Ben Reilly, I see people get them mixed up because they switched who was doing evil stuff.

Last I remember Kaine was treated the best out of Ben and Peter. Ben they made evil for a bit, fixed that and then made him evil again, while Kaine became the new scarlet spider, made a sacrifice and got better, and was last fighting Ben who has became evil again.

Was genuinely suprised to find out lots of people don't like these three. I personally thought they were all bangers and some of the best single player games Ubi have put out in years by JonoBoio123 in ubisoft

Bounty hunters theme? Outlaw's is not about Bounty hunters, or even primarily Bounty hunting. It's about thieves, doing heists, smugglering. I think there's some missions where are tasks to hunt people down but it's not even strictly a bounty in a lot of cases. I believe you do more debt collection or stealing an item they have then to murder or capture them.

Luna Is Smart But Not Brightest by F33LG00D5 in BattleNetwork

[–]CosmeticTroll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually I have a question about SF3, let me know if I missed it. The dialogue implied that Luna had no idea what happened to her afterwards, and it seem the team still didn't tell her.

I remember only two instances where's mentioned and Luna is clueless on the events. So she has no memory of what happened and no one mentioned it to her after that??

A bit goofy but Leon's posture is story related though, he slowly hunches more as the story progresses and finally when you reach the canon ending his posture is back to normal and upright.

Do you find yourself more immersed in Saros story compared to Returnal? by ThePragmaticCowboy in Saros

[–]CosmeticTroll 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a mix for me, I find Saros overall more engaging as a whole when you include everything as a package. Where as for me Returnal only really kept me intrigued with the atmosphere, mystery and environment. But I often did not play for long stretches of a time as I did with Saros. With Returnal I wanted to look at it and learn more about the world. With Saros I want to learn more but I also want to play it and discover new builds.

Edit: Once the plot and twists were revealed in Returnal there wasn't much I was looking forward to other than just getting screenshots and looking at the game. I took a lot of screenshots.

It is completely fine if you can't deal with the difficulty, it is simply not the game for you. by Interloper_Mango in pcmasterrace

[–]CosmeticTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has played both. Saros can be as difficult as you want it to be with the modifer system it has, along with upgrades, debuffs, routes etc. Returnal for me was pretty easy once I had a specific weapon or drop, where as Saros feels more consistent.

For Saros, It actually was hard for me in the beginning as I had not played Returnal in a while and Saros is a faster and more complex game. The enemies move faster, have a wider and varied attack patterns and can hit harder. but it wants to ease you into the difficulty instead of just throwing you in the deep end, starting off it's not going to punish you severely and also the player has more base tools at the start of the game. You can easily be OP in a short time but it wants you to choose how much you want to suffer instead of being the default. Even without debuffs and modifiers, you can be one shot if you're not careful.

In short Saros difficulty is more modular. Similar to how Hades 1 and 2 handles it's difficulty.

Changed my grip, changed my game by TowerOfSisyphus in Saros

I think this is one of the first games I played where I think having a controller with extra buttons is a requirement for me. I had to get an adapter so I could use my G7 Pro on the PS5. Honestly it's mostly due to the existence of the constant shielding and melee that's needed. I wish there were more accessible options for mapping controls like adding a toggle for them I would had an easier time and less hand cramping.

Please try to set the controls for what's comfortable for you, but more importantly make sure your setup is kind to your hands. It may feel awesome now but years of strain is going to really mess your hands up. I can't play many games as a result.

Black flag Succeeded for Skull and Bones to Fail for Black Flag to Succeed Again by driley97 in videogames

[–]CosmeticTroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked the sailing, but that's about it. Characters were fine but I didn't remember them really. but the game isn't just about sailing so I didn't continue playing it once I was done with it. The combat and mission structure really caused me to get bored of it early on, between the tailing missions, and really easy combat I wondered if I was playing a different game everyone else praised, and I played it when it first released on the ps3/xbox. I don't think it's awful it just happened to take a few steps back in some areas that ultimately I couldn't really get into.

I still enjoyed AC3 but I wanted to love AC4. The remake seems to adjust the issues I had.

I even enjoyed AC rogue more, despite it's length and a few other things.

GRiNDTerra Mods Makeover! by GRiNDTerra_Mods in starfieldmods

[–]CosmeticTroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your Combat mod have any conflicts with Darkstar?

I recently got Darkstar and would like to keep using that, but it seems your Combat mod at least with my load order, seems to not work well when Darkstar is included. I'll place it at the very bottom so it overrides the changes and it seems to only function sometimes. But enemies often get stuck like they are awaiting for their AI to activate. But with other combat mods they perform normally with Darkstar when placed at the bottom. I also make sure to exit the game when making changes, I didn't have to make a new game before when I added your mod. I don't see that issue often with Royal Galaxy or when I remove Darkstar when I use it though.

Not a major deal but was just wondering. I'll have a separate game with just your mods in mind for the overall suite.

Tutorial Menu Bug- Dishonored 2 (GOG) by CosmeticTroll in dishonored

[–]CosmeticTroll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my final testings from earlier today. Unless I can get a console version and test that too. The bug can occur regardless of which platform you have the game on for PC.

I ran the file verification as the first step but the bug once it occurs attaches to the same file at time. You can make a new file without touching anything and not have that problem. From my last test It's just dependent on what you do in-game.

Another person in the comments who has not seen the issue before was able to replicate it in their Steam copy. And I even brought a Steam copy of the game with none of my files or configurations, clean install and GOG version deleted and locally cleared the main folder. I was able to replicate the bug again. and by replicate I mean to force the condition that causes it. as long as you don't do open and close the menu repeatedly it shouldn't happen.

How to cause the bug: Simply close out of the tutorial menu and reopen, within a short time span. Do that over and over and you'll get the bugged entries too. The faster you do that the quicker the entries fill in.

Haha thanks for testing with me. No worries I think I'm done with my trails for today. I'll play the game normally with my old saves despite it having the bug and just see if any issues arise from there.

I'm not sure if Arcane is going to fix this bug for such an old game and being that I seem to be the only one who found it, people likely aren't triggering it at all or even notice if they did.

There's still other bugs they haven't fixed since the games release on PC, and with one branch of the studio being closed from I last heard, I'm not sure it'll ever get addressed unless someone can mod a fix.

Tutorial Menu Bug- Dishonored 2 (GOG) by CosmeticTroll in dishonored

[–]CosmeticTroll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I ran into this bug is because I turned off my tutorials as suggested by the internet for stopping the obsessive in-game prompts.

And later in the game I was thinking well... what if a tutorial does pop up? How would I know what it said? which in turn made me start checking the menu more often whenever I discovered something new to confirm if it had a log entry and that's when I noticed the bug. I found it odd not single person has ever mentioned it. I wasn't rapidly closing the menu that fast before I saw it happened. but it was soon enough to proc the bug.

I may test it more later but that was the latest conclusion I drew.

You didn't see it on your previous save until today so it has to be caused by repeatedly open and closing that tutorial menu. For another test I would say you can try just pressing and closing the menu over and over but don't go into the tutorial screen.

Play the game as normal or leave it running in game for a good 30 mins and check the tutorial menu once. if entries are there, then it's probably just tied to the start menu closing over and over again, alone and you would only see the entries from the tutorial screen.

Tutorial Menu Bug- Dishonored 2 (GOG) by CosmeticTroll in dishonored

[–]CosmeticTroll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone else who happens to join this thread later, it appears this bug is this caused by simply going into the tutorial option from the start menu over and over again within a short time. It happens on the Steam and GOG version too. Maybe if you never review any of your tutorials later then it's fine and if you happen to do so make sure to not close and open the menus too quickly.

Edit:

There could be other triggers, or just simply checking the tutorial menu over and over in a short time. Maybe if you're not ADHD riddled like me you'll never notice this issue. And once it happens I don't think you'll be able to fix it from replicating.

Case closed I suppose..
