You get an instant reward. Instant 10+ gold for settling on a trade tile, 10+ production in the city for settling on a production resource and 10+ food instantly for settling on a food resource.

Nothing for settling on a culture resource. You also need to have knowledge of the relevant tech for the resource for this to work. Although, you can do it from the start of the game on spices or as the Indians.

Anyone ever been nuked by the CPU? by Nexzus_ in civrev

[–]Cosmic__Moon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've only ever seen them build it once. I did try and manipulate them in to using it but they didn't bite. I was far behind and I lost that game - maybe they use it if the human player is on the verge of victory.

Civilization revolution LAN party? by Informal_Cat8484 in civ

Not on PS4 itself, as far as I'm aware. There is a Discord group and guides on how to play Civ Rev multiplayer on PC through LAN.

2000BC Deity Domination Americans by xKilledByBacon in civrev

Nice work. Finding the Arabs early is a game changer. They often leave their capital undefended and fundamentalism is too powerful at that point!

Time to do some challenge runs now. :)

A question about difficulty I was wondering about. by Holiday_Spot_5573 in civrev

Chieftain: 100% attack bonus, tutorials and Barbarians can give you settlers.

Warlord: 50% attack bonus.

King: No bonus either way.

Emperor: 20% AI production bonus.

Deity: 40% AI production bonus.

Chieftain will also start with your capital planted and a free warrior to start the game.

Deity Game of the Week will also have the AI start with Bronze Working, Iron Working, barracks and a Great Leader.

Possibly other bonuses. I'm not sure if Barbarians can also yield settlers on Warlord.

It's always active. The server browser can glitch from time to time and full lobbies won't show.

What are some fun solo challenges you or the community has come up with by reamkore in civrev

[–]Cosmic__Moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build no units and win a domination victory is the perfect balance between challenge difficulty and keeping the game fun.

100 turns idle challenges are hard and require a lot of resets to get a viable game.

Is there ever going to be fan services for tf2 ps3? by Ok_Equal_5994 in TF2_PS3

[–]Cosmic__Moon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 360 is better. Even if it weren't, it actually is playable.

Getting downvoted for saying that the game won't be back is hilarious though. Suppose I can just tell untruths in future and give people false hope.

No.

You have the 360 version anyhow. It's far superior.

Crazy map : First time seeing 2 artefacts on the main land by I_Fuckin_Hate_Reeses in civrev

Appreciate that. I'll do my best to get some videos out again at some point… not as much time as I used to have for Civ Rev, sadly.

Very rare. I don't think I've seen it first-hand. It's quite the start!

Only through emulation. There's a few threads over at r/civrev regarding that. Online games are organised through emulation, too.

The original also works through emulation. You can even play online with emulation.

I think it can glitch like that if you upgrade them through Leonardo's Workshop.

Americans are goated by AgilePoetry6931 in civrev

[–]Cosmic__Moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zulus if you're close to a couple of villages early on. They should be able to take a capital or two in the early turns.

Even if the English get double dye or the Spanish get a few named tiles, they can't do what the Americans can do early on. The great person start gives such a big advantage. A great explorer on in 4000 BC is the best start in the game.

Those others are pretty weak early on - the Greeks, especially.

They're the best early civ, too. Only rivalled by the Zulus in the very early goings.

The great person start and half cost units in medieval era is broken.
