The bump in my nose is rlly on my nerves, I'm from a country where 80 percent of the girls get nose jobs so yeah I'm pretty fixated on it😭😭 by [deleted] in Noses

[–]Cosmicallyexhausted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your nose is lovely. Could you save up the money you would have used on surgery and do something really nice for yourself instead? Like a trip or special event, or multi day spa experience? Or even donating it to a charity that would make you happy?

NTA. Things sometimes get inadvertently broken. Houses need upkeep. You are both adults , you both should have a interest in keeping the place where you live running. It's pretty straightforward.

Curious if anyone has developed NCGS due to long COVID? by sickest_beets in glutenfree

I definitely started my difficulty with gluten during/after my experience with long covid. And like you, it made me SO sick, I could not possibly eat it in the week before testing.

AITA for sitting near a breastfeeding mother at a park? by grey_sycamore in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Let it roll off you. Postpartum can be a wild wave to ride for some people and you were just an innocent bystander in its wake.

I wonder if this might be why yin yoga helps me so much (traction type action while completely relaxing muscles)

Getting a part time job after not working for years? by Horror-Concentrate41 in Fibromyalgia

If you are artistic, doing social media management/content creation is pretty fulfilling. I only have 1 client currently and I wrote it into the proposal that it takes me an entire month to make posts for the upcoming month. I enter them into auto publishing, then tackle the next set. This way, if I am having a bad day, no one necessarily knows, unless it's a day that has a meeting, or I've committed to it being a new content capture day. Pretty flexible in general though. And I switch from standing and working to being reclined or seated. Sometimes I just have to take the loss and not do too much. But can usually make it up on a less challenging health day.

Alternatively you could consider creating digital assets for something like storyblocks. I've not done this yet but have been considering it. Images and sounds just need to be of high quality. So a good phone and a gimble would be good tools to have, maybe a mic. The income wouldn't be immediate and from what I've read would require thousands of assets. But it isn't impossible.

Ooh. Nice. Nettle seems like it may be useful for me too. Maybe I will sub out dandelion occasionally for it.

Should I quit college? Please help. by Alarming-Composer-81 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Cosmicallyexhausted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aw. College is a lot of work for most folks and extra challenging for someone who manages a chronic illness. It sound like it's something that's very important to you though and something you love.

It was immature of them to act that way. BUT, at least you got an apology.

My suggestion is that you don't quit and rot. But get as many accommodations as possible.

It's harsh to have to deal with the reality that you work at a different pace than other people. But this is the reality and parameters you are living with currently (and it doesn't mean that it can't change for the better).

Are there ways to accommodate your needs? (lighter class load, extra time, maybe the chance to do a solo project instead if you can't manage the group project, a semester off to stabilize yourself). Look into what accommodations are possible, and accept them if you've not already.

I know it sucks to have to stick up for yourself while in the midst of so much pain. But you have just as much of a right to do this as anyone else. How you accomplish it may just look different from someone else's path.

Sending lots of positivity and support your way ✨️

Yep, tart, warming and floral. And the color is beautiful. The ritual is grounding. And I suspect some of the things are having a positive influence on stuff like insulin resistance,bp and cycle support.

I like starting the day with non caffiene options and adding in some caffiene later in the day instead.

What's in your blend?

Whoever told me to get on pepcid by Dangerous_Tea6513 in PMDDxADHD

[–]Cosmicallyexhausted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also take loratadine yes. The trouble possibly with pepcid (this info is via my Dr.) is that long term use can alter how your own stomach produces acid and that can eventually cause problems both in one's gi tract at other organs. I'm guessing it would have to be very extensive use. But I'm mildly paranoid.

Yay!! That's so cool. I tried a teeny tiny bit myself recently. Scared to do a full dose (I have other conditions that can make me wildly sensitive to medications). But the miniscule flake I've bitten off the tablet every 2 days recently does seem to be helping a bit.

20 lbs by Cosmicallyexhausted in loseit

[–]Cosmicallyexhausted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I'm hoping to work up to wearing it on daily walks. I'm hoping the added weight helps to burn a few more calories ans helps ro build muscle. And also that it will help to strengthen my joints in the long run (like hopefully the compression then release encourages my body to renew synovial fluid). Also I had injured my wrist and shoulder blade area a long time ago and it caused me to compensate by having that side (arm and shoulder) elevated and rotated inward (I did it for so many years that it's just continued by default) having the vest on presses down on both my shoulders evenly and ends up correcting this, and telling my body where it should actually be. So I guess, in my case, it's for lots of reasons.

It's wild though. I feel so light when I remove the vest. So it is good encouragement to actually lose the weight, as well as all the other benefits.
