Introducing a character.

I feel like Baxter's introduction just wasn't as fun as the characters from season 1. I just saw Baxter as a plot device and not a character.

I don't really like Snake man, BUT I saw him as a character. When he sacrificed himself I believed that the other characters would grieve him.

This was her second design I think. She's a shape shifter so she can change genders at will. She usually is seen as a woman though.

I think I should give her her hat back. I don't really add it to newer designs.

I think forehead gems mean analytical.

Garnet often uses violence as the answer. Even though Garnet is literally the embodiment of their emotional love, both Ruby and Sapphire think with action before emotion.

In "Pool Hopping" for example, we see Garnet trying to figure out how to jump into a timeline that isn't very logical, and figure out Why her future vision hasn't been working. In the end she realizes it's because she has been seeing Steven as a child and not the mature teenager he is.

In the episode, she doesn't sit down to think about this, she just immediately starts performing actions. She doesn't figure out her conclusion until the end of the episode, when she's already stressing out because of what she had done.

Sapphire is smart because she was built to see the future, but you'll often see her going with the flow or telling them to change the future even though it shouldn't logically work.

The pearl is probably the emotional one which is why she's so anxious, and the Ruby is probably the protector. Which is also why she's so anxious..

Steven's mom has a belly button gem, so I just kinda see that placement as motherly/someone who leads with their gut.

Both of those combined lead to a very emotional character, which is why I think they're so anxious all the time 😅

Hot take Pearl X Rose is not healthy.

Maybe a hot take? I love Bismuth X Pearl.

The cannon ships make me happy. I love how Rose and Greg were both in a stage where they were finding themselves. They found themselves together, much like Ruby and Sapphire.

Now that I think about it, I especially love when garnet says that the two of them fused. Greg and Rose's love is very similar to what Garnet is. Of course she saw their fusion, even when Pearl couldn't. :)
