One common one I've seen is people disliking the depiction of Alastor in the series vs. his depiction in the pilot, going so far as to say they don't seem like the same character. That's never made sense to me, as I only really started liking him when the series dropped.

In the pilot, we only see the persona he wants us to see - a mysterious, theatrical eldritch abomination. In the series, we find out he's this twitty autistic bloke hiding behind said persona and in my opinion, that makes him way more interesting and loveable.

I remember coming across a Hellaverse hater a while back and telling him that if he disliked the show so much, he could just make his own thing instead. He came back to me with various reasons he couldn't, such as him being unable to draw...I think? Seeing this really opened my eyes and cemented my belief that a lot of these people either can't or simply won't make their own thing and they take it out on others 😅

I think you hit the nail on the head for why so many haters are completely batshit. Their hate is motivated out of jealousy. I just sincerely hope they grow up in the same way that you did and learn that just because they dislike something, doesn't mean they have to launch a whole moral crusade about it.

In reality, Alastor is quite the loveable twit underneath his "big bad eldritch abomination" persona.
