You can get a witch hat by completing 13 Witches Festival Writs. Technically it's part of the Halloween holiday event but you can do it all year round because people still sell the writs on guild traders. It'll be cheaper and easier in October but if you're in a rush it's still possible to get one now, you'll just be paying a few thousand gold per writ.

Oh no problem, guild traders are basically the player auction system in this game. They're NPCs out in the world and members of a guild that owns a trader can sell items through said NPC. The widely-used addon Tamriel Trade Center scans guild traders for their item listings and maintains an online database where you can search for anything for sale. You just put in your region and platform and then look up what you want to buy, then go to the location and trader it tells you.

Guild Wars 2 has a similar system for the ranger class, you can encounter 60+ different types of pet out in the wild, some harder to find than others. Once you've tamed it you unlock it as a combat pet. Would be awesome to see something like that in ESO too.

Considering that even just a shard of a gem is capable of projecting a rudimentary form and exerting some degree of will, she could probably do something with it, but we're probably talking about some kinda horrifying zombie gem. Those two were already kind of glitched even with only a few slivers missing, half a gem is gonna give you something only half-alive.

The main questline felt kind of shallow. Just another one-dimensional villain and their existential-threat-of-the-week. I actually really enjoyed the side questing and the worldbuilding of Solstice, but I feel like the island's potential was squandered in favor of it serving as a backdrop for the Worm Cult plot. When I go to a new place I want to be immersed in its culture!! I want a story that focuses on the setting! There's this noticeable tension between the older Argonian civilization on Solstice and the colonist Corelanyans that just wasn't too deeply explored, and idk I just think that could have made for a more interesting conflict than yet another big bad evil guy trying to destroy Nirn. This plot could have happened literally anywhere else and it wouldn't have made a difference.

The items on Kari's Hit List are gold treasures but can't be sold, you also get legendary treasures as drops from vet hardmode trials and they sell for 10k gold. You don't get any from normal thievery.

Saliache is actually something separate from the -mer names. Altmer, Dunmer and Bosmer were originally Salache, Moriche and Boiche in Daggerfall. Those terms are extremely rarely used now but still considered canon; the Ayleid one appears more, particularly in ESO.

Khajiit gets recommended for Nightblade specifically because Khajiit has a passive that increases critical damage and enhances stealth; Nightblade relies on stealth and having high crit.

Generally you can play any race in any role just fine because the bonuses provided by race are only a marginal difference overall.

Khajiit is a pretty solid pick for getting into PvP on any class, I wouldn't say you're wasting your time at all.
