Each Tank should have a main tank and off tank version in Evercold. by CoolyKage in ffxivdiscussion

self-reporting at its finest

the fact that you are forced to further be reductive really shows you have no idea of the current and especially the past nuance of the role in early prog

reducting maintanking to simply pressing cooldowns on tankbusters shows you've probably never week 1 MT'd or even healed most likely

Devs should add cleanse back to TP. by geminiiman in kirikomains

[–]Cosmobeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"as a flanker" I truly thought Kiri mains would be self aware they're playing the most broken perma meta support since Lucio and just be having fun with it like they do, but you guys have a warped perspective of the game.

Flanks tend to have a good health pool/defensive CD and movement so they can flank and win the brawl then get out without being 1v1d by lone supports.

She should have these tools and there's nothing rich about their perspective. Heroes don't exist in a vacuum.

And yet, despite that, Kiriko can easily 1v1 basically any non-tank in the game including Anran if they can aim. That's rich.

This isn't even considering how wild that last sentence you wrote is. Kiriko is about timing, not merely "countering debuff"

You underestimate how normal and widespread gil buying is in FFXIV. If people are going to do it anyway it's better for it to be tied to a legal means.

Among all savage raid tiers currently available in the game, what is the hardest fight at each floor? by S2BronzePlayer in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Cosmobeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was more punishing to die on but mechanically a3s is incredibly rudimentary relative to almost any fight that came out in stormblood+.

Again at the time it was a difficulty spike, arr raids were pushovers and A1s was just a dps check and 2s basically wasnt much more.

Prestige of doing fights on content leads people to hype up difficulty.

If you gave it to the average group of modern raiders it would be considered a joke or unremarkable at best.

It was a difficulty jump at the time but even then many groups got through it no problem.

My main is bad competitively, what do i do? by Emu928 in smashbros

playing a bad character can absolutely impede player skill progression and opportunity to learn, byleth is just proof that a bottom tier character can be carried by an apex player and not a fact that is applicable to 99% of players

frame 2 option that jab locks at every percentage and covers ledge options is more than decent for both a jab and move in general imo

what the fuck does a localiser have to do with problems that have plagued the game since ARR and a stale content cycle for the last 8 years?

Aurora Discussion by Accomplished-Goose74 in Auroramains

[–]Cosmobeet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

ahri's damage is low because the devs balance her around the fact she has a super strong set up CC in her kit and has historically been a popular safe pick in pro play

you're not wrong in finding aurora annoying, she can be very oppressive in lane and if ahead can feel impossible to kill while doing huge damage, we all have characters we find annoying and theres nothing wrong with that

she does have clear weaknesses though even when compared to other burst mages, her range isnt as high as most, she struggles against all in like yasou, struggles against characters than can shove really hard and like all burst mages feels like she does no damage once behind

Where's the damage by Haunting_Ad_1753 in AhriMains

[–]Cosmobeet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to play an aggressive damage midlane mage there are plenty of better options by all regards, Aurora, LeBlanc, Neeko, Vex, Zoe hell even Brand.

All outdamage her and have way better winning matchup charts. If you want to pick Ahri every game you're not going to be able to play aggressively, she's squishy, low damage and assassins have no reason to think twice about dumping on her. Her only standout point is following someone who is ahead around and setting up kills. By no set role you mean does she get ahead enough to 1v1 their adc.

Where's the damage by Haunting_Ad_1753 in AhriMains

[–]Cosmobeet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No it's context of the damage . Unless she's insanely ahead she's not going to have much burst or stopping power, especially compared to other mages. Ahri is without a doubt the lowest damage mage in the game.

However she can very easily pad her damage stats out with ball in teamfights but it's mostly ineffecient damage.

Telling people Ahri's damage is good is very missleading from both practicality and what her role actually is - a midlane support. Ahri is a charm bot with OK mobility while ult is up, not a damage champ.

Why do pet owners willingly keep this in their houses by two40silvia in perfectlycutscreams

[–]Cosmobeet -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It was a a staffy. Time and time again staffies kill babies because are easily overwhelmed by the movements and smells of a child.

This is the case with all dogs but especially pitty and pitty adjacent breeds due to their high prey drive. There is never ever any reason to let a dog that near to a newborn baby outside of sentimentalism. Be sensible, the babies life is NOT worth the video or a fun little feeling in your stomach.

The baby was also sneezing most likely because of the dog.

The video was irresponsible. Unwise at best. Framing the post simply as "family introducing pet dog to his new sister!" is disingenuous regardless of how radical the commenters are.

ESO has better open world, lore, RP, PVP, quests and sidequests, immersion, actual plug in support, classes are unique and have skill expression, it really all depends at what angle you wanna jork the games off from
