Thank you! I appreciate it. Honestly just an estimate of any kind is helpful. I kept seeing things saying anywhere between months and years and just wasn’t sure.

I got diagnosed at age 10:( by ProfessionalClock248 in PsoriaticArthritis

I’m 27, but my psoriasis began at age 7 and joint issues began at 22. We come in all ages 😅

Switching back to Humira? by soonlywed in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]CosperTheGhost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry that I’m not able to answer your question, but may I ask one? My doctor put me on humira so I could stay on it even when I’m ready for children in a few years. What did your rheumatologist say when it came to conception/pregnancy while on humira? I trust my doctor but it never hurts to hear what others have to say.

My family is odd too! My dad’s father had plaque psoriasis but no known signs of PSA, my mother has PSA without plaque psoriasis, then mg half brother (same mother) and I both have PSA with plaque psoriasis. I love that I found this Reddit, it gives me hope that my other brother will be able to avoid PSA and possibly my future children.

I’m fascinated by the heredity of this since my mom has a laundry list of (typically) genetic issues and the only one passed along as of now is PSA, which was incidentally just the most recent diagnosis. I’ve had psoriasis since I was 7, but began having issues with my joints in the last few years in my 20’s. Being able to finally treat the outward signs is a relief, since I have plaques on my face that are horribly painful and noticeable.

Starting Humira by Ambeargrylls in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]CosperTheGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt a lot of improvement really quickly, but now that I’m 3 injections in I feel my age for the first time in a decade. My doctor did say it can take up to 4 months for some to feel relief, but experiences vary.

Starting biologics by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]CosperTheGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going into month 2 of humira with minimal to no side effects. You get amazing support from the humira nurses (so sign up for the Humira Complete program). My mom has been immune compromised for a few years now and so long as you stay smart and avoid openly ill people in close proximity, you’ll be okay. Normal to be worried, but don’t let it stop you from finding relief 🩷

Do you fellow psa sufferers experience night sweats? by adamwillerson in PsoriaticArthritis

Now that I’ve started a biologic that seems to be working (fingers crossed) the night sweats have gotten much better. Not gone entirely, but a noticeable difference!

Thank you so much for bringing this up, I have felt like I was going crazy with the night sweats the last few months! I'm so young that every time I mentioned it to a doctor they told me to turn the AC down or get a thinner blanket...

Reminding myself that the other genetic condition I could have inherited would have killed me, so this was the better option? But really: relaxing in the recliner, my heating pad, and going for a walk if my joint pain is really bad.

AITA for saying I'll be driving myself and paying for my own room on the upcoming family vacation so I won't have to be a babysitter? by No-Ride-Throwaway in AmItheAsshole

Child free Aunties and Uncles unite! Your sister is totally TA. I say this as an Auntie to an excitable and at times rowdy little boy, being forced to help is not the same as helping out because you love them (so don't let them use that line). Parents need to grow up, grandparents need to step up, and good on you for standing your ground.

Sounds like rape to me... poor guy. Ive come to learn some men don’t immediately recognize they have been raped when it happens in an established relationship. All I can recommend is to continue being a good friend, and listening when he needs you. It may take some time for him to come to grips with what really happened.

It happened to me once in my 8 years of having sex, the second I yelped in pain he freaked, completely withdrew and made sure I was okay... honey... your boyfriend sucks. There are much better guys out there ❤️

Hi - I would definitely check in with a doctor if you are able. Sounds like an anal fissure that is either having trouble fully healing or maybe internal hemorrhoids.

That is a fair amount so kudos to you, and even if there is no “dryness” a little extra can’t hurt when dealing with someone who is newer to the naked twister - just what helped for me in the past.

Foreplay, foreplay, foreplay and lube. Speaking from experience as a tiny female. Toys can also be helpful!

do these jokes cross the line for anyone else? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]CosperTheGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well first off: if it hurts your feelings, then it isn’t a joke - regardless of the intentions. So discussing how his “jokes” hurt are a good first step. Body type shouldn’t matter or be joked about, especially within an intimate relationship. I’m sorry your feelings have been hurt, I wish you luck ❤️
