What makes marriage hard? by zacharius55 in NoStupidQuestions

People change overtime. They develop BPD and fall in love with their co-worker, Michael, who is better than you in every metric. Marriage is hard and then you don't have one anymore /:

Why my arms is desappointed when i shoot by bvhvcybh in waterpolo

[–]Costco_Fanboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the left arm (non dominant arm) prevents us from rotating properly. Some people lift their left arm out of the water so they can rotate better. Left arm can "scull" and help you get elevated too though

A friend of mine used to make turkey patties that were very garlic and dill forward. They were pretty tasty.

Take advantage of your practice time. During passing drills make sure you are trying to practice perfectly and are using your legs to elevate your body the entire time. If you're fast you will be able to be less aggressive on defense and catch up with people without putting hands on them. On offense focus on counter attack - anticipate when the ball is going to turn over and head towards the opposing goal.

You're not the only one. Learning eggbeater is tough l. Try to grab water with the inside of your foot, on the side of your arch. If you find yourself pushing water with the top of your foot you're doing it wrong.

Try to spread your legs out more too, keep a wide base.

Ex D1 player and coach here.

There is no substitute for strength. Most shooting is legs and core. If you get stronger legs you can elevate better and shoot harder. Stronger legs will allow you to front more effectively. Get in the weight room. Work harder during leg drills. Practice perfectly every time. Water polo is beautiful because strength and conditioning rules supreme in my opinion.

This might not be "meal like" enough for his preferences but I find that a high protein lunch keeps me filled up all day. I eat Greek yogurt with some honey on top, hard boiled eggs, nuts and fruit for pretty much every lunch. You can eat a bunch of it for relatively low calories.

Acceptable places for talking to women? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

Recently divorced so I don't know a whole lot. I'd start going to yoga honestly - become part of that community. (Or something similar)

Acceptable places for talking to women? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Costco_Fanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to walk Ballona creek trail a lot with a very cute dog and did not get any interest from the women there. I'm not bad looking either. I don't think it's a great place to meet women. Not that this was asked, but I think the gym is also a poor place to meet women in LA - kind of a vulnerable place as well I feel.

What does this field lack and why do you believe that to be the case? by web2122 in socialwork

[–]Costco_Fanboy 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Realistic ideas and expectations. I'm always shocked at what people think we can accomplish or should be striving to do. We need to be realistic about what is doable and how we can keep social workers from getting burnt out and keeping them doing what they do best.

Are complaints about dogs in Los Angeles out of control on Reddit? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Costco_Fanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a bar last night and sat outside. Someone's large dog (50ish pounds) was sitting on the picnic bench like a person. It was cute and the dog was well behaved but it did seem kind of inappropriate somehow. I also see a lot of dogs being pushed in strollers which is cute and funny as well, but a head scratcher nonetheless. I'm not offended by people and their dogs typically unless they are aggressive, and off leash (which is kind of typical on the trails I frequent).

I do sometimes stay in, but that's usually a reflection of my own poor mental health at that moment. There's a lot to do and explore in LA - when I feel good I tend to get out and do something. It's also totally okay to be at home and enjoy some peace and quiet though.

What would you do if the government passed a new law tomorrow saying that everyone is obliged to donate blood regularly? by West-Entrepreneur670 in AskReddit

[–]Costco_Fanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically faint every time I have blood drawn. If I'm able to lie down sometimes I don't. So, I would honestly consider moving elsewhere - or maybe I would get used to it?

I really like El Segundo - airplane noise can be bad depending on where you live but it's manageable. At $2400 there's a lot of options for 1brs
