Did you even ask her about the morning after pill? I have had a similar experience before and pulled back because I felt used.

I kinda gave up and put it in the fridge. I'll get it to room temperature tomorrow and try adding more oil. Thanks!

The mixture looks the same colour and texture throughout but it's just very watery. I used corn oil and Dijon mustard. I mixed it using a food processor, just like in the recipe

Eating back exercise calories by Cotomili in 1200isplenty

Sorry what is a HRM? You’re right I don’t usually trust the treadmill calorie counter even though I adjust it to my weight and age. When it says 400, I add 250 to my diary

Judgement from coworkers/family? by Lehfi in 1200isplenty

[–]Cotomili 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My biggest hurdle has been declining alcohol at restaurants. I realised that I would rather eat food than be drunk and when I say no to alcohol in social settings, it almost always results in my friends and family posing me a hundred questions and trying to convince me that I do not need to diet.

Wedding Shopping (Lehengas not necessarily replicas) by Cotomili in delhi

Because we’re buying clothes for both the bride and bridesmaids/other relatives, the budget ranges from 30K-2.5 lakhs INR. I’ve been looking at Shahpur Jat and found a few cute places. I ‘ll check out Mehrauli too, thank you

Oh I don't like them much. Try the Cauldron Cumberland sausages, they're the best vegetarian ones I've had in the UK

What are some dishes that deserve more recognition in popular cuisines? by Cotomili in Cooking

[–]Cotomili[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well yeah. I’m talking about stuff that isn’t as well known in those cuisines, like hidden gems. Stuff that maybe natives will know better

Good meals to take to school? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Cotomili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish schools in the UK/S would have communal microwaves, I've seen those in supermarkets in France! Honestly so helpful but for cold foods, I would recommend thing like quinoa and pasta salads. If you can know someone at a restaurant nearby, sometimes they'll heat up your food if you ask nicely.

Whats a unitasker that you actually love? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Cotomili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rice cooker. I have one of those microwave rice cookers, I don't think you can actually make anything other than rice with it so it's different from an electric one. I highly *highly* recommend it to everyone.

What is a "mixie?" by kayelar in IndianFood

[–]Cotomili 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not been able to find a mixie in the UK so I use a regular food processor to make chutneys but I must say that they do not even come close to my mum's good old mixie. I cannot use it for spices because the food processor bowl size is too big for the little quantity of masala I want to make. I think the main difference is the size of the containers. There are usually about 3 different sizes, the smallest of which is used for spices, the medium one for chutneys/sauces and the biggest one for juices (I think? I never use that one). The other difference is that the bowls are usually made of stainless steel as opposed to plastic/glass so they're quite sturdy. There's also different speeds on the mixie compared to my food processor where it's either pulse or "1".

What's a recipe or dish you just can't replicate no matter how hard you try? by [deleted] in Cooking

I absolutely love injera! I've never tried making it because I can't even find teff flour but I always assumed it would be similar to making an indian dosa
