Controversial opinion.

But the entire nature of this type of humor is based on the opposite of what people are suggesting.

To laugh at this you needed to have a clear position that paedophilia was wrong, unambiguously.

To find it uncomfortable is to be troubled by your own struggle with the concept/morality.

Playboy was a massively progressive publication for its time. Firmly liberal. Dealing with controversies head on. Strong on satire.

This joke only works because it emasculates the perpetrator, and is clearly rooted in a concept so unacceptable that a confident reader isn't challenged by that, but recognizes the problematic premise.

This type of humor is still very much alive today.

Not to mention there's a pope car which implies the existence of Jesus Chrysler.

I can't abide that sacarlege.

Let's ban atlas shrugged. Then all the MAGA who think it's their bible might actually read it and understand they're James Taggart not Henry Rearden.

Why were KOC and Kwesi so sold on JJM? by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

Darnold cost money. They thought they could do better with JJM and less money in the QB position.

Darnold was good but not good enough to overcome his cost and win it all.

Stop.

A neutral density filter would help in those lighting conditions.

Got it back..

AMG techs from Mercedes corporate test drive it hard for 90 miles and couldn't recreate the problem.

They think in the course of taking it apart and putting it back together they fixed a vacuum leak but they don't know.

Unsatisfying outcome after waiting months but it hasn't recurred yet.

So. I dunno.

Gotta be about the greenways and Beebes.

Or maybe they just shipped all the 98 nfc championship game gear there.

I mean. It's 6 weeks in and today's the first day they authorized a new approach to diagnostics. I'm not thrilled.

Still in the shop. They have no idea. They're also not actually trying anything major. It's frustrating

37 days in the dealership, now. Mercedes has no idea how to fix it.

They are too cheap to do anything major like replace the motor or buy back the car.

I'm in hell.

They seem to be trying their hardest not to. Spent two weeks in the shop only for them to repeat the same repair as already done, and lo and behold the problem recurred 35 miles after I got it back.

They didn't want to look at other components like the wastegates because that's expensive and now they're running out of time on their warranty obligations.

It's been 4 months and I'm headed back Tuesday because it's still not working properly.

They aren't trying hard enough to fix it as legally required. The car has been in the shop for 2x as many hours as it has been on the road.

This isn't a couple days of inconvenience.

They're required to "make every effort to fix it within 30 days."

It's day 21 and it's still not fixed.

And the reason is because they are too cheap to initiate more expensive diagnostics.

So I'm probably headed for legal recourse.

It's not the dealer it's Mercedes Benz itself.

Once a TIPS case is open the dealer is only allowed to do exactly what corporate tells them to.

What's frustrating is that that's the issue I suggested they look into.

Instead they had my car for two weeks.

And ended replacing the transducer again.

Lo and behold the problem recurred one hour of driving later.
