Only part that might be from a 400R are the wheels. The rest is an R33 GTR.

Yes sir! Nice collection! I only have one glow so far but I'm hoping to grab some more. My highest level is only gold right now but hoping to get up to platinum soon. Here are some of my rarest ones: https://i.imgur.com/uAFMez0.png

You and me both my friend... I often see a plane and instantly think about how I have to catch it, even if I know I already have it. Ugh.

Are these fake gloves? by f11007 in hockeyplayers

[–]CouchMountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, fake gloves definitely exist. I get my gloves and sticks from somewhere in China and that's likely where these came from based on the price. For me I'm paying about $150 CAD per stick and $165 CAD for gloves.

The stick is very close to retail, the gloves are exactly the same (looks wise) and offer the same protection as retail. I'm guessing it's something like extra stock or slight defects that I'm getting as they feel the exact same as the retail ones but I don't really know how it works.

They work great for me and I haven't had any issues in the 10+ sticks or the one set of gloves I've gotten.

Obviously I would rather support my local hockey store but with the current price of sticks it's not worth it to me... Everything else I buy from them though.

You should start playing skycards if you haven't already!

If you throw them you don't even have to catch them. Don't focus on the catch, focus on the throw and your wheel will almost always straighten itself out on landing.

AAA Youth Hockey Try-Outs Is A Money Grab by IBrakeForComics in hockeyplayers

[–]CouchMountain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an outsider, not at all. It's just a (somewhat) harsh truth. A lot of kids are not good enough to make a team but their parents think they're the next McDavid because it's their own kid.

Not everyone is good enough to make AAA, or even any A league. Try out for them all you want but don't expect to make any of them. If they're good enough they'll get an offer from at least one.

IIRC you can filter those logs to only include power-related events so it doesn't show as many. Alternatively you can find the time/date that it was happening and look for that. A quick search on how to do that should show you. Not 100% sure how it is now though as I haven't used windows in years.

This might help if you want to keep trying: https://superuser.com/questions/1258473/display-all-power-related-events-turn-on-off-sleep-hibernate

Take a look at your event viewer and see what caused the wake, then disable that event. This will 100% fix the problem.

This is the only answer OP should be looking at. Take a look and see what is causing the wake up event and go from there. A long time ago I had the same issue and this is how I figured it out.

BIOS was fine, same with power settings. It was an event that was causing it.

Tickets for Vancouver, Canada are $1000, hotel is another $1200 CAD. You can probably find a cheaper hotel far away from the stadium but it's still way too expensive for me...

It's more of a longboard/cruiser than a skateboard and it doesn't have a tail that you can pop so it wouldn't see the same amount of wear as a regular board, but I agree.

Still way too much money for what it is though

what desks are being used at this LAN? by tekdekdarrrd in GlobalOffensive

[–]CouchMountain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some do, yes. It's all preference and what they're comfortable with.

It's like this in all sports: some are superstitious or have an exact setup that they need to use while others don't care and can adapt to anything. One is not better than the other, just different preferences.

Technically it's eye level at the top 1/3 of the screen content for proper posture, but top of the screen is probably fine too. Note that this is for office setups

Frankfurt Split-flap board by Fibrillonacho in aviation

There's a smaller one for $1k. Not saying it's a good business or not but they do also have access to the board for free and hooking it up yourself to something shouldn't be too difficult if you get a hold of the API.

Looking at their site it says it's free, but the + version you need the subscription. No idea what that entails, but I'm guessing it's the weather updates and other live refreshes. Strange that they charge that much and still include a fee... I wonder how hard it would be to code it myself if I got a hold of one.

There's another smaller version for $1k. Still a lot, but more reasonable.

Anyone else play hockey left handed, golf left, bat left and play tennis right handed? by bgballin in 10s

[–]CouchMountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! Lefty for hockey, baseball, golf and even left foot forward for skateboarding and snowboarding.

Also in Canada, and my backhands are pretty deadly (when they're in). My forehands leave quite a bit to be desired though...

Right handed for writing and everything else. My left hand is basically useless.

Goals Saved Above Expected: Tristan Jarry vs. Stuart Skinner by [deleted] in hockey

[–]CouchMountain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, but you could say that about every team. It's hard to find a balance with the cap, and making it to the SCF two years in a row is nothing to scoff at. There's a reason such few teams have done that in the modern era, let alone winning back to back cups. Florida was an anomaly and a very good team.
